🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 I’m going to be thanking God a lot along this journey! He deserves all the praise for giving me this passion and opportunity to produce and direct independent films. Then I want to be thankful for being a veteran from the U.S. Navy. I’m dedicating this one to all the vets no matter the branch. And in military fashion I’m going to give back and host this event in a military environment. Filming and theaters are taking a different turn in the near future especially with Netflix buying WB. It’s going to be a lot of at home releases so in orderly fashion I’m going to start hosting my premieres the way I want to. Doing things MY way. To give my cast and crew an extraordinary experience they deserve. So tickets are OFFICIALLY ON SALE!! Link will be in the comments and in my bio. On sale on Eventbrite or at the door. One thing I’ve truly come to appreciate on this filmmaking journey is the power of genuine connections and word of mouth. Social media and self-promotion will always play an important role in independent filmmaking, but witnessing the organic growth of Broken Contract has been an incredible experience. From visiting local VA facilities and VFWs to reconnecting with former shipmates who have helped spread the film throughout military bases and organizations, the support has exceeded my expectations. Seeing a significant increase in viewership and knowing that the film is even making its way into military seminars and conversations is truly humbling. My ultimate hope is that one day Broken Contract can become part of the conversation and resources provided to service members transitioning into civilian life. Sometimes the impact of your work travels further than you ever imagined. I’m just grateful that this story continues to reach the people it was meant to reach. To everyone who has watched, shared, recommended, or simply mentioned Broken Contract in a conversation, THANK YOU! The support doesn’t go unnoticed. 🙏🏾🎬🇺🇸 by @trudubb88
What happens when the people you love become the ones you struggle to connect with the most? Sometimes trauma changes more than one person. It changes relationships, breaks communication, and turns a house into a place that no longer feels like home. 🎬 BROKEN CONTRACT explores the struggles of family, mental health, forgiveness, and the battles we often suffer in silence. Not every wound is visible. Not every family is whole. But every story deserves to be heard. 🔥 Now streaming FREE on Tubi! Press play and see how Gerard’s story unfolds. by @trudubb88
CHAPTER 38: I CHOSE ME! 🎉🥂🔥. LONG POST ALERT ‼️‼️‼️ I spent 37 years learning how to live. At 38, I’m learning what it truly means to be ALIVE! This past June, life gave me a reality check I never saw coming. Two surgeries, a life-threatening complication, and a reminder that tomorrow is NEVER promised. But I’m STILL HERE! And I’m not just existing… I’M LIVING! 🙌🏾 One thing about ME? I’m going to TRY IT ALL! 😂 Filmmaker, writer, director, landscaper, carpenter, handyman, entrepreneur… and now DJ G! 🎧🤣 Between GrayWay Productions and 50 Blades of Gray, ain’t no telling what venture I’ll jump into next! I refuse to put limitations on myself! I’ve learned that people come, people go. Opportunities come, opportunities go. Some bridges burn, and others are waiting to be crossed. But guess what? LIFE GOES ON! You might lose a job, lose a friend, miss an opportunity, or even lose yourself for a moment. THAT’S LIFE! Some days you win, some days you learn, and some days you just need to go to sleep and fight that battle TOMORROW! BUT NEVER LET LIFE DEFEAT YOU! At 38, my TIME means more. My PEACE means more. My PASSIONS mean more. And my HAPPINESS is no longer up for debate! People are going to talk regardless, so respectfully… FUCK WHAT THEY THINK! 😂 Every day we wake up, we’re becoming somebody new. Embrace that person. Celebrate that person. LOVE THAT PERSON! I’m not who I was yesterday, and I have no idea who I’ll become tomorrow. But one thing is CERTAIN… I’m going to keep evolving, keep creating, keep learning, and KEEP LIVING! 38 YEARS OF LIFE. 38 YEARS OF LESSONS. AND A WHOLE LOT MORE LIFE TO LIVE! Here’s to the man I’ve been, the man I’ve become, and the man I’m STILL becoming! 🥂 CHOOSE YOU! NOT SOMETIMES. NOT WHEN IT’S CONVENIENT. EVERY SINGLE DAY! Happy 38th Birthday to ME! 🎂🔥🎉. Hey what can I say… I’m a LIBRA 🤷🏾‍♂️🤣💯 by @trudubb88
I just want to take a moment to say THANK YOU. 🙏🏾 To every veteran who has reached out to me about Broken Contract — I see you, and I truly appreciate you. To every VFW post, veteran nonprofit, organization, and facility that has chosen to show the film… THANK YOU. 🇺🇸 And hearing that Broken Contract is even being recommended through counseling centers means more to me than I can really put into words. That lets me know this film is reaching people beyond just entertainment. It’s starting conversations. I know I don’t spend a lot of time on social media, so I may not always see or hear about everything happening with the film. But hearing that it’s making its rounds, being shared, recommended, and shown in different places has been humbling. I made this film because I wanted to tell a story that felt real. I wanted veterans and families dealing with the effects of service, trauma, and the difficult transition home to feel seen. So to everyone who has supported Broken Contract in any way — whether you watched it, shared it, recommended it, showed it at your facility, or simply reached out and told me what it meant to you… THANK YOU. The love has not gone unnoticed. And I’m genuinely grateful. ❤️🙏🏾🇺🇸 — Gray by @trudubb88
PTSD doesn’t always look like what we think it does. Sometimes it comes home from war. Sometimes it comes from trauma, loss, family struggles, or things we’ve carried for years. And sometimes home doesn’t feel like home anymore. It can affect parents, teenagers, spouses, and entire families. Depression, anxiety, trauma—we’re all fighting battles people may never see. That’s part of what BROKEN CONTRACT explores. And stay through the credits… there’s a PSA with a message that matters. YOU’RE NOT BROKEN. YOU’RE NOT ALONE. 🎬 BROKEN CONTRACT is streaming FREE on Tubi. Don’t just scroll past it—take a moment, press play, and experience the story. Then stay for the message after the credits. by @trudubb88
What happens when the person who comes home from war… isn’t the same person who left? BROKEN CONTRACT is more than a military story.
