POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

A pretty cool moment today.

T-Pott released a video discussing the complicated state of rookie cards and spent some time discussing my rookie card system and the research behind it.

I’ve spent years trying to bring some structure, history and consistency to a subject that has become increasingly confusing.

So seeing that work discussed and having collectors pointed to it as a resource is incredibly rewarding.

I appreciate the recognition, but even more than that, I’m glad to see this conversation continuing to grow within the hobby.

Still plenty of work to do. 👊🏽 by @true_rcs

Some question whether the cost of going to NSCC is worth it. I say it's priceless. 50 weeks to go! 👍🏼 by @true_rcs

I’ve created this post because I’ve noticed some influential hobbyist calling this card a “rookie card” this past week. Hobbyist who know better but refuse to align themselves with the truth because of agendas. I see you 👀 by @true_rcs

I often hear the question, "What is _______ best rookie card?" Unfortunately, many will answer by saying, "1st Bowman Auto" is the best rookie card.

I would respectfully disagree. 1st Bowman Auto's would be a players best prospect card!

A true rookie card occurs when a player earns a roster spot on a pro-level team. It must be fully licensed by both the League and the Player's Association.

Let's call it what it is, a pre-rookie or prospect card, and not what our agenda wants to call it. Why is this important? Because not all rookie cards are created equal! 👍🏽 by @true_rcs

Like Mike, the 1993 Topps Finest set was a game-changer. It was years ahead of its time. You can vote for this base card @cajun_cardboard Back 2 Base-X on his YouTube channel / Community tab.

I remember opening many packs of this product back in the day. It was a special time and a special set. IYKYK! by @true_rcs
