@truecolours.athens στη Γραβιάς 9-13, Εξάρχεια. Ένα υβριδικό φωτογραφείο • στούντιο • βιβλιοπωλείο: αφιερωμένο στη φωτογραφία και το σινεμά. Aρχιτεκτονική μελέτη - Architecture design: @konstantinos.trichias @laastik.arch @afeidaki Οπτική ταυτότητα - Visual identity: @ioooooo_p Το True Colours logo, με το bold και παιχνιδιάρικο στυλ του, καλωσορίζει τους περαστικούς. Οι καμπύλες αλλά και πιο σβέλτες γραμμές του φιλοξενούν έναν χώρο γεμάτο ερεθίσματα γύρω από το σινεμά και την φωτογραφία, που μας καλεί για δημιουργία. Το δεύτερο Ο, μας μισοκλεινει το μάτι, όπως και το διάφραγμα ενός φακού που προσαρμόζεται στο φως. The True Colours logo, with its bold and playful style, welcomes passersby. Its rounded yet sharper lines reflect a space full of inspiration drawn from cinema, photography, and a call to create. Διαθέσιμο στο @truecolours.athens: «Music Ecosystems» του @vasilis_gkogkidis της @submersionrecords. Το Music Ecosystems είναι ένα φωτογραφικό βιβλίο που επιχειρεί να διευρύνει την αντίληψή μας για τον τρόπο με τον οποίο λειτουργούν οι μουσικές σκηνές. Μέσα από σύντομες συνεντεύξεις και φωτογραφίες, δίνει τον λόγο σε επαγγελματίες όπως ηχολήπτες, γραφίστες, δισκογραφικές εταιρείες, δισκοπωλεία και χώρους ζωντανών εμφανίσεων, καθώς και σε μουσικούς, σκιαγραφώντας μια ευρύτερη εικόνα του τρόπου με τον οποίο οι μουσικές σκηνές διαμορφώνονται συλλογικά. Όπως στα φυσικά οικοσυστήματα, όπου διαφορετικά είδη φυτών, ζώων και τοπία συνυπάρχουν και αλληλεπιδρούν, έτσι και το Music Ecosystems αναδεικνύει την πολυπλοκότητα των σχέσεων που αναπτύσσονται στις μουσικές και δημιουργικές σκηνές. Βack to our concrete jungle, with SOIL by @margarita_yoko_nikitaki, a visual exploration of the city's surface. “ I use the telephoto lens as a laboratory microscope to examine the dense structure of the urban landscape, looking for areas where the artificial world seems to transform into a concrete ecosystem, where condominiums, streets, highways, and entire blocks appear to collide with one another, forming solidified canyons, rivers, and gorges. I observe a new layer formed by buildings, antennas, satellite dishes, solar water heaters, awnings, and rooftops that sprawl across the Attica basin, leaving the earthy ground- the soil - exposed only in a few places, such as the hilltops of Athens, where I position myself to take the photographs.” Developed & published in collaboration with @zoetrope.athens, 2023 by @truecolours.athens

Οι @in.trance.95 κάνουν ποδαρικό στο studio μας 🖤 Με αφορμή την σημερινή εμφάνισή τους στο @agorafoviko, το θρυλικό συγκρότημα συνομίλησε με τον @yannisorestispapadimitriou και το @in.gr_official για την αναβίωση του 80s ήχου, για τα συστατικά ενός καλού live και γι’ αυτά που δεν έχουν αλλάξει από το 1988, όταν δύο 18χρονοι ξεκινούσαν να φτιάξουν κάτι μπροστά από την εποχή τους. Waving goodbye to the islands with this well-travelled edition by @antigoni_papantoni. Available @truecolours.athens. In «You can’t go home again», Antigoni Papantoni reflects on her experiences of the past decade, feeling like a sailor adrift between cultures, gradually losing her sense of belonging. This sense of disorientation inspired her to develop an intuitive, autobiographical photography practice that explores elusive concepts of home and identity. The book unfolds as a visual road movie, mirroring a journey from unfamiliarity to intimacy. It acts as a navigation guide through the challenging process of seeking a place of refuge-a haven to come home to. #new_arrivals Το βιβλίο της Κατερίνας Αγγελοπούλου @angelo_katerina «The Fumes of Mars», που κυκλοφορεί από τις εκδόσεις @gost_books. To βιβλίο είναι στα 10 επικρατέστερα για το APhF Pick:26 Award του Athens Photo Festival και ως project συμμετέχει στην έκθεση του Φεστιβάλ στο The Benaki Museum. Περισσότερα: Στις 23 Ιουλίου 2018, μία από τις φονικότερες πυρκαγιές στη σύγχρονη ιστορία σάρωσε το Μάτι και τις γύρω περιοχές, αφήνοντας πίσω της περισσότερους από εκατό νεκρούς. Η εικαστικός Κατερίνα Αγγελοπούλου επέζησε, διαφεύγοντας μαζί με τη μητέρα της και την τρίχρονη κόρη της. Το The Fumes of Mars είναι ένα αντι-αρχείο – μια τεκμηριωτική και βαθιά προσωπική έρευνα γύρω από τον τρόπο που κατασκευάζονται οι αφηγήσεις καταστροφών, αλλά και στο πώς η κυβερνητική αποτυχία και η κλιματική κρίση εγγράφονται στο συλλογικό τραύμα. Μέσα από φωτογραφίες, μαρτυρίες, ερευνητικό υλικό και αντικείμενα διασωσμένα από τα ερείπια, το έργο αμφισβητεί πρωτίστως την αφήγηση που μετέθεσε την ευθύνη στους κατοίκους και στα ίδια τα θύματα. Dear God, the Parthenon Is Still Broken by @_yorgos_lanthimos_. is published by Void @photo_void., and is now available at @truecolours.athens. Lanthimos invites us behind the scenes of "Poor Things" in his first photo book, titled "Dear God, the Parthenon Is Still Broken". Bound in a cloth hardback cover, it presents large-format images captured and developed on set, a process that became a collaborative effort with his lead actor Emma Stone. The title "Dear God, the Parthenon is still broken" is taken from a cut scene in which Bella was to send a postcard to her father, God, from Athens. by @truecolours.athens
