After years of coaching, stumbling, falling, getting back up as a follower of Jesus. I started to make some correlations to how the Bible says we were created, and life in real time.

Sometimes things can feel old fashioned or out of date. But truth stands the test of time. Which means it’s usually not sexy or trendy. The truth makes sense in a way that you can’t un-hear it, when you hear it.

The more familiar I get with what God says about us, the easier it is to point out the lies. Those lies sometimes we tell ourselves, sometimes they are told to us to control us from other people. Lies are told because if you knew the truth then you would operate differently. The truth makes you change.

I hope that if this is the first time you’re reading or hearing this line of thought- you’ll make changes. Living in how we are designed feels more like freedom when we actually do it.

I’m still in a surreal place after going over the events of the week. It’s been a privilege to coach @pault.fit since the day we started. He’s special, that is the one way I can accurately describe him, and people are starting to notice. @kennywallach thanks for the tweaks.

We are 2-0 together so far. Pro card in 2023 and now his rookie debut yesterday. The competition was not only fierce but they were class acts, especially Krimo. I’m thankful to see all of the guys having fun up there. Having fun is what it’s about.

We roll right into another peak week, headed into Detroit. Definitely a test that will tell us more about how we stack up on a bigger stage. We aim to improve, even though Paulin was flawless. Probably my best peak. For such a time as this!

Thankful for our support system, particularly my wife @donna.jean_fit and my son. I can’t wait to come home. But most importantly this is God. In His grace He allowed us to experience this win. So the Glory goes to Him.

@p_bern80 and I have been working together for so long he feels like family. Originally he just came to me to grow some muscle and get in shape. Now for the first time he’s stepping on stage in 10 days.

The last few months were just leaning out to move into a growth phase, and I noticed he wasn’t far from being stage lean. So we decided to hop into a show and see how things go. Completely unexpected.

Phil has grown so much as a client. Nutrition, like with a lot of people is the last piece of the puzzle to really make changes. Phil nailed that this year. I’m super proud of him, and the level conditioning we will bring to the stage.

Thanks for trusting me dude.

A lot of the time people can delay addressing health concerns until they become issues so big that the rest of your family has to carry them.

Do your family a favor and be proactive about your health. For two reasons:

1. They deserve the healthiest version of you.

2. When you delegate your responsibilities for your health to the healthiest members of the family, it ruins their health.

Prayer is a powerful thing. I don’t typically pray on social media, and this was terrifying to do. However, God is really laid on my heart to pray for everyone that’s watching this and everyone that’s watched the reels prior to this one. If you’re struggling if you need prayer, just put it in the comments. It doesn’t have to be specific it can be a silent prayer request. And I will take the time to pray over every single one of you with my wife. Thank you so much for following me. There is more to come.

A committed wife gets upset and brings things to your attention. When you’re defending yourself all you’re doing is admitting guilt.

Guilty of what? Did you do the thing? Probably. But you’re also guilty of not controlling your emotions. Making it unsafe for your wife to bring things to you.

The post was brought on by a client conversation today where a committed wife was trying to communicate her needs, and all she got back was defensiveness.

Calling men higher here.

Long-term bulking: savage or stupid?
2 years. No mini-cuts. Here's what happened.

We just completed the Health Phase with @kenneth_almond_ whom I consider a Functional Medicine Bodybuilding Coach. It took longer than planned & that's life.

Down 30 pounds from February of this year (208 to 178) & as it turns out, I'm dense (mission accomplished on that at least).

Was the long bulk savage or stupid? Neither (wishful thinking)? Ignoring the signals for too long was the stupid part, but sometimes that's what growth takes.

Building muscle takes training. Keeping it takes health.

Radical Responsibility is modeled by Jesus. He took responsibility for everyone and everything, even when it wasn’t his fault, and died for us.

Men need to take radical responsibility and die to ourselves for wives. That’s the only way out of the mess we have made as men.

Jesus is the answer and the sanctification process of becoming more like Him is our only Hope.

The women in diseased, and autoimmune states are a direct reflection of the men in their marriages and relationships.

As men, our inability to be healthy husbands or significant others drive women into dysfunction. That dysfunction shows itself in a multitude of ways.

The next step in the series is to talk about what it looks like to be a healthy man in your relationship so your better half can heal from the damage that you’re responsible for.

When the leader isn’t leading everyone else is in survival mode. If you sit long enough in survival mode you’ll become diseased, long enough there, you’ll reach an autoimmune state.

As a family we watched all of the Marvel movies together, and this is what I learned.

If you’re a sensitive man that gets triggered easily, keep scrolling.

These are lessons my wife teaches by the Grace of God.
