Wow… I don’t know where go begin.

When @adjatlas reached out to me at the beggining of this year with the suggestion of curating a gallery event at The Ivy, I was a little shook. I really didn’t think I could possibly do such a thing.

Now fast forward to last Friday - Wow. Thank you. Thank you to everyone who took time out of their busy lives to check out MONOCHROME and support 6 local Ontario photographers and their passion for music. Thank you to J and the @getloudconcerts team for facilitating a safe space for the arts to live and thrive in a city where having such a space seems more difficult every year.

To the photographers: Thank you for pouring your hearts out into your work for a culture that in many ways struggles to be seen. Thank you for your commitment throughout the planning process and your willingness to put your souls out there for other people to see.

To the artists: I believe music (aside from photography, hehe) is the one true universal language. Thank you for keeping it alive, for keeping Rock N’ Roll alive, and for being brave enough to make something out of nothing and putting it into the world for others. Thank you for all the memories past and future while working together and in friendship. Your performances made our night.

And to everyone who came out to check out bands and photos of bands - thank you for your love of music and culture. None of us are anything without you. Cheers to you!

Long live Rock N Roll. Love, Truffles.
