The Chita Rivera Awards 2026 ❤️

What a privilege to be part of such a joyous night of celebrating dance. I consider myself to be a late bloomer when it comes to dance. Only in the last couple of years have I come to realize just how much fulfillment comes from dance. The passion, love, pain, growth, and beauty that dance has brought me is something that I have and will continue to cherish.

The community that dance has brought me is one of the most important things in my life. @thenewjackcoledancers is an incredible part of that community, and I hope I will get to dance with this group forever.

An enormous thank you to @camloeser for leading with such passion, respect, and grace, and for trusting me to be a part of carrying this legacy forward.

There is always so much more to say, but I'll have to save it for whatever's next 😉 🫶🏼 taken in Skirball Center for the Performing Arts at NYU by @truhala

My journey with @thenewjackcoledancers started when I first took @camloeser class almost 2 years ago. From that first class I already felt a deep connection with the style, and I knew I wanted to dive deep into the work. Cam teaches this work with such grace, humility, and passion, that it is impossible not to feed off of his energy. After months of training I joined the company as an apprentice. I feel incredibly lucky to say that it was my first professional dance job in NYC. The company welcomed me with open arms and made me feel like I belonged with this incredible group of artists.

Now we're preparing for our CDI Residency in January, bringing back The Club Act. What excites me most about this show is the way it truly honors the past, the roots of where Jazz comes from, and shows how Jack Cole brought diverse cultural movement together into what we call "Jazz" Dance today. In this there is an immense feeling of curiosity. Curiosity of how we can respect the past and at the same time continue to evolve new ways of bringing the work to life. In a culture that feels more and more dogmatic about the way we should view history, I feel this curiosity is a breath of fresh air and why so many people connect to the work. I am honored to say that I will be performing a principal role in this show. I'm endlessly grateful to Cam for continuously trusting me with this work.

We are raising funds for this show, and we would love your support in any way you can! Whether it's making a donation or spreading the word, your support is very appreciated. Donation link in bio 🫶🏼

"RUNYONLAND" 🎲 @stepsonbroadway

I had the honor last month to work on this amazing piece. Endless gratitude to @camdenlooi for trusting me to be your "Sky". It is a joy to dance your choreography, and I always love working through the challenges it gives me. Thank you Evy for being the most generous and supportive partner through this process. And lastly what an amazing group of dancers to work with. This was such a rewarding experience. Here's to the next one! 🫶🏼🫶🏼 by @truhala
