The wind was sweepin down the plain in Ely, MN. So much fun doing Oklahoma! with @northernlakesarts and this wonderful group of people this summer. Thank you @ian.lah for this opportunity. Singing Oh What A Beautiful Mornin’ on opening night knowing @redrachelgriffin and her dad were in the audience is a moment I will never forget. Oh what a beautiful … MAN. Human. Friend. Husband. Father. Please take a moment to celebrate @truman1243 with me. He’s been through more in the past 3 years than anyone should ever have to. And every day he wakes up determined to live, to love, experience joy, and spread goodness wherever he goes. Thank you for pursuing your Broadway dreams. You shined as Curly in Oklahoma in a way I’ve never seen you shine before. Your vocal discipline is paying off and I am blown away by your talent. Me and baby girl Juliette will always be in the front row cheering you on. (That’s right - her name is Juliette and I need her to make HER debut asap cuz I’m done being pregnant lol). Even if takes 17 years, keep working on your goals 😎So excited to open Oklahoma! with @northernlakesarts tonight. I have wanted to play Curly for so long and I can’t believe I’m getting the chance to. It has taken a village to get me to this point. Many thanks to @robertray1817 for believing in me. Thank you to all of my teachers, including @jeremypowellvoice @redrachelgriffin is a rockstar. I’m so thankful for her support of me doing this show. She is 7.5 months pregnant and her and her dad made it here to Ely, MN for opening night. I can’t wait to sing ‘oh what a beautiful mornin’ to Juliette 👶 I would give anything for the chance to tell my parents about this experience. I know they are with me and they’re proud of me. Meet the singers of our 5/20 Stephen Sondheim show…•💙Truman Griffin (He/Him) @truman1243 💙•Truman Griffin is an actor and singer who just survived his first year of living in NYC. He recently played Fred Gaily in the national tour of miracle on 34th street. His NYC credits include Maddie: The Musical, performances at the cabaret venues Don't Tell Mamma, The Green Room 42, and Chelsea Table and Stage. He's a personal trainer by day and by night he doom scrolls on Actors Access. In August, he and his wife are expecting a baby girl, which explains why his dad jokes are in the infant stages.
