The "Trunk Songs" opening number is an inviting, intimate moment between performers and audience before the roadtrip of it all begins. Kicking the show off with Jos Slovick and our two guitars rolling along together was always magic for me - we hope it was for you too! 💙

During our @edfringe run this song between Alice Ramsey (played by the incomparable @maddieroseb trying to channel you here ily) and her lover Hermine became one of my favorite parts of the show to perform. This song was originally written for an idea of a musical about couple stuck in a post-apocalyptic bunker, and it was the first song I wrote after a loooong writing resistance. I'll never forget sitting on the couch with the hopeful feeling writing this gave me. And I'm so glad it now has a home in Trunk Songs ✨

Trunk Songs wrapped its @edfringe run on Saturday to a full house. We couldn't have imagined, even if we put on all of the world's imagination hats, a more talented and generous cast and creative team in @maddieroseb, Jos Slovick, Isabelle Taylor, @julia_gannon and Emma McFarland for this run. And in @greensidevenues FOH team, we felt safe and supported. And in the magical city of Edinburgh, we were inspired and reinvigorated around every corner.

Thank you from the top of the blue ridge mountains to the bottom of our hearts 💙
