Feels nice to know that I can step away from something for a while, then come back with a greater appreciation and understanding of that thing. #personaldevelopment taken in Queens, New York by @trussardigordon

Happy that I had some snow to deal with today instead of rain…t’s funny how a slight shift in your temperature can change your whole situation/your perspective.

Quick stop to check out some new beaches. Two of the three are not ideal for swimming on windy days, however most do have beautiful beach plants lining the shoreline so they would be great for picnicking or potentially parties and cookouts. taken in Antigua and Barbuda by @trussardigordon

Even though I’m from the Caribbean this NYC heat with it’s humidity is still something else!..but after doing some research on google it turns out that the more I expose myself to the sun/hot weather by (exercising, just being in the heat, or avoiding sugary drinks and substituting them with ones containing electrolytes) this should slowly get my body accumulated to the heat, thus allowing me to stay cooler for longer. by @trussardigordon

“It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live,” “Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light,” and “It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.” #harrypotter #harrypotterquotes taken in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter by @trussardigordon

God, I can’t tell you how much the “there’s not enough enrichment in my enclosure “ joke has helped my mental health. Because, for some reason I can’t comprehend, pretending that I’m a zoo keeper caring for an animal (which is also me) just makes everything easier to comprehend. Like “ Your heads gets screwy when your apartment is messy “just doesn’t carry as much resonance as “The tiger becomes agitated when its enclosure is cluttered” because then I’ll be like, no shit? The tiger ? I’ve gotta keep things nice and clean for the tiger. • Music 🎶 vibe: @beatsbyperki ~ Sam Language
