Yes! The pre-release of the new book by @sherrysahayra and I about #EthicalMarketingAndPromotionForIndependentMusicArtists is here and will be available to buy as a paperback for just £10 from Amazon on 30th September. We hope it will bring a lot of cheer and useful advice to independent artists as well as challenging the narrative that is putting pressure on artists to spend so many hours being content creators. #NewMusicNewThinking by @trustthedoc

We are hugely grateful to #JimOttewell and the @icmpuk journal for featuring this interview with @sherrysahayra FRSA MA B.Tech and I about our new book #EthicalMarketingAndPromotionForIndependentMusicArtists. In it Sherry and I challenge the currently prevalent narrative on certain platforms where self-elected influencers and alleged industry insiders are pouring pressure on music artists, especially younger ones, to maintain an unsustainable and, as our research demonstrates, unnecessary level of daily TikTok content creation with no sense of responsibility for the consequent damage to their mental health and well-being. But we also provide a wide spectrum of information, advice and ideas about how independent music artists and those in their support networks can market and promote their work across the different social media and associated digital platforms, the live music ecosystem and more traditional avenues without the potential health and wellness concerns. Jim's interview questions captured how and why we are keen to lead and contribute to this vital conversation. https://www.icmp.ac.uk/blog/icmps-dr-neil-march-and-sherry-sahayaraj-publish-new-book by @trustthedoc

In my multiple roles as band member, manager, tour manager and unofficial booking agent, I am organising @musicofsounduk's next tour in April 2027 and looking to get everything in place super early. We so far have dates in Hastings (6 Oct), Woking (9 Oct) and London (14 Oct). If any artists, promoters or venues can accommodate a kind of guitarless dream pop (or cinematic synth dream pop) quartet (no guitar, bass or drums so very low maintenance for sound engineers!) in a support slot or otherwise, we'd love to hear from you. Ideally we are looking for dates like 11th, 15th, 16th or 18th April but we are happy to consider anything workable. 😊 by @trustthedoc
