we had such a good time playing @bewareofbansheesfestival this saturday! it was an honour to rage together -and- have fun together in the heat with you hotties :] thank you @chi_hoogerdijk for playing the role of max :) a big thanks as wel to @redstainedknife for the lovely photos, and of course thank you @imaraspeek and everyone that was a part of the banshees crew for taking such good care of us ! we hope to see you all again soon, this crowd felt like a place to come home to <3 by @trutband

the celebration of Desire For Kingdom, the birth of our first child ! we are so grateful for the amazing night we got to spend with all of you, it felt very big and very intimate at the same time. we’ve poured so much into this show and it was so lovely to see it play out the way it did! last week we spent days at the art academy making sure we had merch, we spent hours folding all the zines and after the show the incredible @olivia.brwne and @xi_sastre spent hours printing our designs on your shirts, blouses, bags, and everything else. @levimajormusic made our banner by hand, which then held up our sword, looming over @irinatuurlijk in a way that was definitely not dangerous but still probably a violation of some kind :) it’s so new to see so many people fill the room to come and see us for -our- show, so thank you very much for being there <3 we’re also delighted to have had @housemaidband as our support act, it was lovely to listen to them and watch their performance as we calmed our nerves :) a big thank you again to everyone who helped us put this all together and, of course, thank you for coming, we hope to see you all again soon <3 ⚔️ photos by @echtnietsam !! by @trutband

this friday we will set free our creation and we’re doing it with a bang ! 💥 our release show will be the longest show we’ve ever done, we’ll play songs written years ago and songs written weeks ago, and we’ll be doing lots of firsts. this is our first time releasing an EP, our first headline show with our first support from @housemaidband!it’ll be our first time playing some of our songs, and it’ll also be the first time we have merch !! we’ll have some lyric zines for the EP songs !!and!! you can bring a piece of clothing to get it printed at our merch stand (something we’ve kindly borrowed from @beterlevenband) this way we don’t contribute to the ever-growing pile of discarded textiles and we still make sure you can get a great piece of merch for cheap :] we’d love it if you’d come to the show, the ticket link is in our bio <3 there, you will also find a link to sign up for our newsletter! you could potentially sign up.. because we might be sending out the first one tomorrow…. and it could include a link to listen to one of our songs a bit earlier 👉👈 idk though, you’d have to find that out yourself.. 🗡️ by @trutband

hello! i wanted to show you the process of making the chainmail headpiece that’s featured on the cover, because i (seth) made it myself! and it took super long and i’m really proud of it (as you can tell by my stupid excited face in every video haha) i started by winding the metal wire around an aluminium rod, you can see me do it by hand, but most of it i did by putting the aluminium rod into levi’s power drill, which was much faster :) when you’re done winding, you get those spring looking things, which you then have to cut up into tiny little rings (this part i hated the most) then, when you have a million little rings, you can start putting them together! i found out during this process that there is an almost endless amount of different chainmail weaves, which is pretty cool. i used a european 4-in-1 weave, because it’s relatively easy, doesn’t use rings of different sizes, and it looks like what i think of when i think of chainmail from that point on it’s just going and going and going, i did this in the train, in the studio, on the couch watching twilight, after breakfast, just joining rings at any given time :) i’ve never done this before, so i initially made it too small. i took it apart to make the crown piece bigger and then put it back together again, it was all trial and error.. this sunday we’re going to shoot the EP artwork where i’ll get to wear it again and then after that it’ll probably just become a statement piece in my wardrobe :] if you come to our release show on the 22nd of may, i’ll let you try it on if you want, but don’t tell everyone else <3 if our brand new single has made you want to see us live, you can! we’re playing bevrijdingsfestival overijssel on the 5th of may, then our release show on the 22nd of may (!!!) and beware of banshees on the 1st of august we can’t wait to see you, we have so much new music to play for you, it’s crazy ! ⚔️ by @trutband

𝗕𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗚𝗗: Zusterschap x Femxle Frontier Ondanks dat de hitlijsten de afgelopen jaren worden aangevoerd door vrouwen blijft de muziekwereld een mannenwereld. Hoog tijd dus dat GIGANT ook verantwoordelijkheid neemt en vrouwen een meer prominente plek biedt in het programma. Naast onze reguliere concerten, introduceerden we daarom vorig jaar het festival Zusterschap op Internationale Vrouwendag. Dit jaar vieren we deze dag opnieuw, in samenwerking met @femxlefrontier: een collectief dat zich inzet voor een gelijkere genderverdeling in de muziekindustrie.
