There are some days that stay with you long after the sun's light fades away. This past Saturday was one of those days. The 3rd Annual A Vibe Called Rest Fest wasn't simply an event, it was a reminder of what becomes possible when a community chooses to care for one another. Every conversation, embrace, deep breath, laugh, song, and quiet moment affirmed that healing happens together. To our incredible wellness practitioners, vendors, artists, musicians, volunteers, and community partnersβ€”thank you for sharing your gifts so generously. You helped create a space where people felt seen, held, and deeply cared for. To our extraordinary keynote, Dr. Daniel Black, thank you for grounding us in the truth of our own greatness, reminding us that touch can be a sacred offering of care, and inviting us to release the narratives that no longer serve our becoming. A heartfelt thank you to Josie Pickens for helping fertilize this vision from the very beginning, and to our friends at @lululemon for believing in the power of collective wellbeing through your Community Wellbeing Grant. Thank you also to the @HoustonArtsAlliance, with funding from the City of Houston, for investing in an experience where art, wellness, and community could beautifully intersect. And to everyone who showed up...thank you for prioritizing you. You didn't just attend a festival; you helped create a space where joy was amplified, rest was honored, and community reminded us that we belong. Navigating an incredibly full heart. Until next year, may we continue choosing ourselves, choosing one another, and practicing collective care every chance we get. πŸ’š Photography by @closeyoureyesphoto #AVibeCalledRestFest #TruthProjectHTX #WelcomeHome #HoustonArtsAlliance #CityofHouston #lululemon taken in MATCH - Midtown Arts & Theater Center Houston by @truthprojecthtx
