🚨 A MAJOR FUNDING COMPANY JUST SECURED $525 MILLION TO FUND SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS EVEN WITH CREDIT SCORES AS LOW AS 500.

Hairstylists, here’s what you need to know:

They’re not funding you because you’re viral or the best at what you do.

They’re looking at 3 things:

STRUCTURE. CREDIT. BUSINESS ACTIVITY.

I built a luxury braiding business from what most people overlook…

Short hair.
Thinning edges.
Alopecia.
Hair transformations that made women feel confident again.

I did the whole “booked & busy” era.
The $10K months.
The $20K months.
Even the $30K months.

But one thing I realized?

If your business only makes money when YOU show up, you’re still stuck in a cycle.

A lot of beauty professionals are chasing five figures without understanding structure, systems, diversification, branding, or how to build beyond the chair.

That’s why I started shifting my focus from just doing hair… to helping beauty professionals think bigger about BUSINESS.

Because talent can make you money.
But structure creates freedom.

I built my brand transforming clients with short hair, alopecia, thinning hair, and damaged edges.

But over time I realized something…

A lot of beauty professionals are talented behind the chair,
yet their business has no structure.

Do I still braid?
Yes — part time.

But I stopped believing I needed more clients to make more money.

The truth is:

There are already enough stylists and enough clients.

What most beauty pros actually need is to learn how to:

• Attract the right clients
• Retain them long term
• Build systems that keep money coming in
• Create income even when no one is sitting in their chair

I had to learn this the hard and long way.

Now I help beauty professionals avoid the mistakes I made and build businesses that actually grow.

It’s not about where you start. It’s about where you’re going.

I got my cosmetology license in 2018.

By 2019, I had officially registered my business.

By 2020, I went full-time in the beauty industry.

And one thing I learned very quickly?

Being talented isn’t enough.

I never struggled with getting clients, but I learned that the beauty professionals who make the most money aren’t necessarily the most talented—they understand how to become the solution to a specific problem.

The beauty industry isn’t too saturated.

Most people are just too general.

When I niched down and became known for a specific service, my income changed.

And eventually I realized something else: I didn’t just need to know how to make money behind the chair. I needed to understand business, structure, and how to create income beyond the chair.

That’s what I want other beauty professionals to understand.

You can make real money in this industry—but you have to stop thinking like just a service provider and start building like a business owner.

Hairstyling continues to be one of the few careers where your skill can create six-figure earning potential without a four-year degree. 💇🏾‍♀️💰

But skill alone isn’t enough.

The hairstylists who build real income learn how to specialize, market themselves, price for profit, retain clients, and run the chair like a business.

And the opportunity doesn’t have to stop behind the chair. Your expertise can expand into education, products, digital offers, salon ownership, brand partnerships, and other income streams.

I know because I built a six-figure beauty business—and eventually positioned myself to retire from behind the chair.

The chair can make you money. Structure can help you build beyond it.

Would you choose beauty school over a four-year degree? 👀

The reason you’re still a broke hairstylist might not be because you need MORE clients.

You might be thinking too small.

Most beauty professionals are afraid to niche down because they think:

“If I only focus on one thing, I’m going to miss out on money.”

I learned the opposite.

When you become the solution to a specific problem, you give people a reason to choose YOU instead of the hundreds of other beauty professionals offering the same services.

That’s when I stopped trying to do everything and started becoming known for something.

And eventually, that shift helped me do more than make money behind the chair.

It helped me learn how to scale beyond my appointments, diversify my income, and eventually retire from behind the chair.

There are 3 things I learned that changed the way I looked at my beauty business.

And #3 is the one I see MOST beauty professionals missing.

I was making around $30,000 a month behind the chair—and I still chose to retire.

Not because I stopped loving hair, but because I realized:

If your income stops when you stop working, you haven’t built enough beyond your skill yet.

Beauty pros, being booked and busy can make you money—but your body, hands, and calendar all have limits.

Your business shouldn’t.

The goal isn’t just to make more money behind the chair. It’s to build something that can eventually grow without you being behind it all day. #fypシ❤️💞❤️ #explorepage✨ by @truulegacy

In 2025, I made a decision that I wanted to retire from behind the chair.

Not because I wasn’t successful. I was consistently making $30K months, booked and busy, with clients traveling from all over the world.

But I realized something:

Money without time isn’t freedom.
And time without money isn’t freedom either.

So I invested over $50K into rooms, mentorship, masterminds and learning how to build differently.

Then I EXECUTED…thru grief, confusion, and fear

Today, this plaque is proof that I could walk away from something I spent years mastering, start over, trust God and build again.

But more than anything, this one is for my Grandpa. 🤍

The man who believed in every crazy dream, vision and goal I ever had.

I wish I could put this plaque in your living room today.

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” — Philippians 4:13

We’re just getting started. Thank you God 🙏🏾 next up a Milli 😮‍💨💰 thank you @stanforcreators

Chase your dream no matter where you come from or what you’ve been through.

I came out of foster care and was raising a son at 19. I got evicted at 21. I’ve been homeless with my kids before living at a hotel no motel, survived three car accidents in one year, and lost people I love, both alive and deceased

I’m not saying that for sympathy. Sometimes I just sit still and thank God for how far I’ve come.

I never want to get so caught up in becoming that I forget I’m actually living a life I once prayed for.

That’s my message today: chase your dream. Your past doesn’t get to decide where or how far you go. YOU DO by @truulegacy

Beauty pros, if you knew how many funding opportunities you could be overlooking, you’d stop assuming you have to pay for every move out of pocket. 👀

There’s nothing wrong with self-funding. I did it for years. But when you’re ready to buy equipment, stock products, run a real marketing campaign, or expand into a salon suite, it’s worth knowing your options.

Yes, even a brand-new business may be able to apply for a Chase business credit card. But having an LLC alone isn’t the strategy. How you’re positioned matters.

And if Chase isn’t the right fit, it isn’t your only option. I’m partnered with lenders, and I help beauty professionals figure out what opportunities may fit their business and what they need to work on first.

@fashionnova It’s not about where you start it’s about staying focused on where you’re going.

When I moved to Atlanta, my three children and I lived in a hotel for 45 days.

I started working in a salon, hung my business banner over the railing and marketed myself to everybody walking into the beauty supply store.

Then I found my niche in short hair.

Soon, I was making $15,000 to $30k a month. Three years later, I had built multiple streams of income and retired from behind the chair.

If you’ve been in the beauty industry for five years and still haven’t reached $10K months, comment AUDIT. by @truulegacy
