Sita Ramam (2022)🌝🤌🏻...
is acinematic masterpiece
that transcends language barriers.Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, this epic period romantic drama tells the timeless tale of Lieutenant Ram, an orphan Indian soldier, and Sita Mahalakshmi. Spanning across two timelines, 1964 and 1984, the film beautifully weaves a mesmerizing love story with the themes of duty, humanity, and sacrifice.
The emotional anchor of the movie is the undeniable chemistry between Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur. Salmaan portrays Ram with an admirable blend of restrained strength, humility, and unwavering patriotism. Thakur's portrayal of Sita-who is later revealed to be Princess Noorjahan-is a masterclass in acting, balancing vulnerability with immense inner resolve. Rashmika Mandanna shines in a supporting role, serving as the bridge between the two timelines and providing the necessary emotional and cultural weight

Released on July 13, 2012, the Malayalam romantic drama Thattathin Marayathu (transl. Behind the Veil) transformed the landscape of contemporary romance in Mollywood. Thuruppugulan (2006) is a loud, fast-paced Malayalam masala comedy directed by Johny Antony and starring Mammootty as Kunjumon (aka Gulan).Kunjumon is a quirky, card-sharp street-smart guy from Calicut who comes to the rescue of Lakshmi (Sneha). Lakshmi's wealthy father has been framed and jailed by a treacherous business partner, Sreedharan Unnithan.Key Cast: Mammootty, Sneha, Innocent, Jagathy Sreekumar, and Kalasala Babu.Critical ReceptionFan Appeal: Critics noted that the film is a crude, loud commercial entertainer designed strictly for Mammootty's die-hard fans. It relies heavily on quirky slang, colorful floral shirts, over-the-top mannerisms, and slapstick humor. While some reviewers panned it as a below-average or mindless entertainer lacking logic, it features strong comedy blocks and catchy tracks that made it a fun nostalgic watch for many fans of mid-2000s Malayalam masala cinema. by @try.outtttt

Ayan (2009)🫠😍
.
.
The romantic track between Suriya (Deva) and Tamannaah Bhatia (Yamuna) in Ayan (2009) is widely praised by reviewers for being refreshing, grounded, and free of traditional commercial clichés.Critics and audiences note that the second-meet-up scene and subsequent interactions between Deva and Yamuna spark instant, effortless chemistry. No Forced Cringe: Unlike standard action-masala templates where romance feels shoehorned or overly cheesy, the romantic portions in Ayan are subtle, cute, and weave naturally into the pacing of a fast-moving smuggling thriller.Musical Enhancement: Harris Jayaraj’s hit melodies, particularly the picturization of tracks like "NenjeNenje" and "Vizhi Moodi", elevate the romantic beats without dragging down the narrative momentum. by @try.outtttt

𝗜𝘀𝗵𝗾 (𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟵) 🎬🧿
Released on May 17, 2019, Ishg: Not a Love
Story is a Malayalam romantic thriller directed by debutant Anuraj Manohar and written by Ratheesh Ravi. Starring Shane Nigam, Ann Sheetal, and Shine Tom Chacko, the film received a 3.5/5 rating from critics, praised for its gripping first-half tension regarding moral policing, though its
provocative second-half revenge narrative
sparked debate. The Premise: Sachi (Shane Nigam) and Vasudha (Ann Sheetal) are a young, loving couple looking to spend time together. Their peaceful evening in a car is abruptly ruined by two sinister men (Shine Tom Chacko and Jaffer Idukki) who subject them to harrowing moral policing. Firstpost +3
Lead Performances: Shane Nigam captures the transition from an innocent, caring boyfriend to a man consumed by a bruised ego. Ann Sheetal delivers a powerful portrayal of a woman forced to navigate terrifying vulnerability and later question her partner's psyche.
Antagonistic Force: Shine Tom Chacko shines as the unsettling, manipulative antagonist who weaponizes psychological intimidation under the
guise of authority or concern.Second Half: Critics noted that the film begins as a tense, realistic, and deeply unsettling look at the rot of moral policing in society. However, the second half shifts dramatically into a toxic ego battle and unconventional revenge drama. Firstpost +2
The Debate: While many lauded the bold attempt to subvert standard vigilante and male ego tropes, some reviewers felt the narrative lost its moral compass later on, turning Sachi's character into an embodiment of the same toxic masculinity the film initially set out to critique.
