It’s true. Aldous Huxley ate mescaline and chilled under the Oak Trees here in Ojai and wrote the Doors Of Perception. It’s only right for us to do a proper tribute to Huxley and the cactus 🌵 We love mushrooms though we are also obsessed with the 🌵 too! A huge shoutout to @enripskeiv & @tryptomics & @davidpoplin to be holding down “Beyond the Spines” up at Topa Institute on Thursday 10.15 @10am. Everyone will go home with their own cactus to continue their journey of building relationship with these majestic plants. Huxley and Kristamurti and many others were definitely onto something in the 60s! Words cannot begin to express how grateful and blessed I am to be surrounded by such big hearted, passionate individuals who truly LOVE MUSHROOMS. For those who don’t know, I was gifted a ticket by @aixarret and bought one for the homie @ascrewednail—and gawddamn did we make the most of our trip, from making paper from mushrooms to listening to the Giants dropping knowledge. From foraging with legends to learning from them, to making new friends and gettin some top quality time with the whole fam. Telluride 2026 was one for the books! Results are in for the new culture Electrum. 2.85%😍🧬🔥 What's most incredible is the high alkaloid profile while keeping high yeilds (1.7kg flush from xls bag) and fast fruiting time (4 weeks) Usually there is a trade off with between them, so we are happy to have ticked all the boxes! Also were super impressed with the minor alkaloid profile, just emphasizes the importance of giving the culture ideal nutrition. The previous post we shared more info on the project to take a look at 👀 We feel the samples wernt at full potential, so will be refining our approach to see if it can crack the 3+% mark next time.
