The end of a chapter, and the start of a new one.

Six years ago, I left my full time job that I studied for to chase something that felt right. I taught myself how to use a camera on YouTube, and even though it felt crazy to walk away from a path I’d worked hard for, staying started to feel like I was denying myself. So I left, with no idea what would work out.

Now, six years on, reflecting on the experiences I’ve had and the people I’ve met from that one decision — I’m so glad I did it.

Currently I’m closing out another chapter I’m deeply grateful for. Working at Fortem Media gave me countless lessons, opportunities, and perspectives. There have been highs and lows, but the people have made it all worth it.

Now it’s time to take the leap again. I’m stepping into full time freelancing. I’m nervous but excited. There’s still so much more to learn, and I’m ready for it.

This showreel is a reflection of my journey — a mix of work I’ve done for Fortem, freelance work and personal projects.

The Sounds of India 🇮🇳🎥

A collection of scenes from my recent trip to India, read below for a description of each slide:

2. The start of the trip, Munnar in Kerala - these are the tea tree plantations that sprawl for miles through the valleys in Kerala. Home to elephants, tigers and monkeys.

3. The bustling downtown streets of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan

4. The Rajasthani desert, close to the Pakistan border. We drove out to the dunes in a jeep for the night and the locals prepared us a traditional meal over the fire.

5. Inside the ancient fort city of Jaisalmer, a few hundred people live inside the 900 year old fort.

6. Gulmarg, Kashmir in the Himalayas - 1km across the valley from a disputed no man’s land full of rebel forces between the Kashmir and Pakistan border. The soldiers wanted us to take photos of them.
