Consistently good food & a huge outdoor patio

📍 @theperchchicago - Wicker Park

I’ve been coming here for years… I’ve been a fan of those cheese curds for just as long 😌🙂‍↔️

Their food is always consistently good, the drinks & pours are perfect on a patio, & the staff is always so friendly.

Here everything we got:
🍸 passionfruit margarita
🍹 lavender haze

🧀 cheese curds
🍔 filet sliders

🍝 lumache con pesto
🥩 steak frites

🍋‍🟩 key lime pie
🥕 carrot cake

Did you ever think your favorite bodega would also offer Phó? Well @phodega does, and they’re killing it.

We of course covered the highlight of the night, their beer pho with tender beef brisket. But don’t sleep on their salt and pepper chicken wings, perfectly crispy with a hint of spice. The combination chicken and rice was also something worth a shout.

But the Star of the night was by far the phodega fries, topped with heaps of beef brisket, onions, and cilantro and coated in a layer of house gravy. It was spectacular, almost a Vietnamese poutine.

Phodega definitely hits hard. And, after your meal, take home some of their international snacks from the bodega.

Got to try Epic Burger’s new fall menu that’s coming out soon 👀 @theepicburger

Their Epic Harvest Stack was tested in the Heinz Kitchen Lab & is basically an epic post Thanksgiving sandwhich.

We went out for a family dinner to Union Dumpling House, we ordered the Family Reunion Combo (feeds 3-5 people) plus a little extra.

Definitely adding this as one of my go-to Thai restaurants! @the_oliang got me hooked on that Khao Soi! ✨ everything about this restaurant was comforting; the food, the atmosphere, the service! I’ll be back to explore more of the menu!

Tasty Tuesdays with Cole 🦐

Fifth installment and we pulled up to Captain Shrimp in North Center!

On the table: the Catfish Po’Boy, Cajun Shrimp Wrap, Fried Gulf Shrimp, and a little taste of the chicken wings because apparently we don’t know how to order just one thing.

Fresh, flavorful, quick, and definitely worth adding to the Chicago food rotation.

My friend and I had our monthly girly date at @chicagowaffles in West Loop & let me tell you it was exactly what my soul needed!

They had new lattes on their menu. I tried the salted caramel cold foam latte. The cold foam was 10/10 — however, if you like your coffee strong like me, I’d ask for an additional shot of espresso!

The Meat Lovers skillet was loaded and the eggs were cooked perfectly!

I always find myself choosing waffles or french toast at breakfast, and these were exactly was I needed that day!
