As a trans man of color living thru this I haven’t even edited or gotten to half of what I have gotten to be lucky enough experience, because life in this world feels excruciating.. (also debilitating depression) so if you are like me and a trans POC this isn’t normal and I see and validate you 👏🏾! This video was taken before it got “worse”. My big sister @tschmerling_ saved my life taking me to Cali to see whales 3yrs ago, after my other chosen big sister killed herself. It changed my life. It always will. I hold on to these moments and they are why I am here. 🫍 Thank you. My big sis @esperanza.sara showed up when I went on our first trip out- I saw a humpback whale high five me with her tail. Miles away. Terry didn’t see it, she knew by my face I did. I never saw a whale before.. and I’ll never forget what she said: “your big sis just high-fived you using a whales tale!” 🥹 She did!
And I’m working on being more honest about this but I still want to not wake up most days. This is a core memory, it keeps me here. Most humans suck, pick the ones who don’t. Stick with animals, nature and queers and fuck the rest!
