Ok Richmond, sharing what a networking event looks like with @tsgrichmond ! Every year we launch our new edition with a party. This year we gathered at the @padelplant downtown and had @theflowerguybron create a themed floral moment. We all shared our business story and genuinely had a great time. Our business model starts with print and continues online with a few great events sprinkled in!!! If you want in on Vol. 15, don’t hesitate to reach out!! Enjoy this video of our launch from @echadwilliams ! ~ your editor, Cheney ~#thescoutguide @thescoutguide #tsgrichmond #printadvertising #network #support by @tsgrichmond

Scout Is Out!!!! On Tuesday we launched Volume 14 with a Padel/Pickle themed soirée at the fabulous new padel social club @padelplant !! We collaborated on a really fun launch party which took place on the patio with delicious food and drink from @smokestackpizza We want to thank the Nordheimer boys for a very well executed party. If you are looking for a really neat venue downtown on the canal, look no further. @theflowerguybron created a super on point photo moment complete with pickle paddles, florals and padel balls. It was an amazing photo opportunity for our guests. Bron is truly a master at his craft and the weddings he creates are absolutely stunning. I’m so lucky to have such a great relationship with him. He also spoke to the crowd about what The Scout Guide can do for them if they use it. Networking, collaborations and community support are all available to participants!! I want to thank @byjacquiphoto for taking the majority of the fabulous images in the guide this year. She makes the book look the way it does while providing a good experience for the business owner because taking a picture isn’t always an easy thing to have done!! I also want to thank @janeocwesley for being the best graphic designer!! She creates everyone’s spread and is an absolute joy to work with. A big thank you also to @egkuhn1 for stepping into her new role as assistant to the Editor and doing a bang up job from the jump!!! Also want to shout out @jammiebaker_ for styling me for the party, @michelleperonehair for my blowout, @briburnsmua for makeup and @echadwilliams for upcoming video footage of our launch. The professional photos in this post are by @abbylindseyphotography and they captured some really, really great highlights!!! More to come. We also had 4 guys playing padel for the crowd. Thanks fellas!! Thank you to everyone mentioned here and a heartfelt THANK YOU to the participants of @tsgrichmond Volume 14. You all are what our city is made of and we champion YOU!! #thescoutguide #tsgrichmond #padelplant #party #launch taken in Padel Plant by @tsgrichmond

Meet @Shagbark,

Walter Bundy, the owner and founder of Shagbark, has been serving exquisite upscale Southern-inspired cuisine since 2016 and prior to opening Shagbark, Bundy held the position of head chef at The Jefferson Hotel’s Lemaire. Shagbark sources from local Virginia farmers, fishermen, and artisans. Not only is the food locally sourced and fresh, but it also features an award-winning wine selection with hundreds of options and a custom craft cocktail menu. The ambiance is upscale and sophisticated, making it an ideal setting for a romantic evening but also perfect for larger tables as well. It is extremely consistent, which is evident by how many people frequent the restaurant on Wednesday through Saturday. Shagbark’s staff is exceptional, and the service is impeccable. Shagbark is absolutely one of the most special restaurants in Richmond. We are so lucky.
