“Unapologetically Her” was one of the first pieces I created this summer—and somehow, it became one of the pieces that meant the most to me.

There was something about creating her that felt like permission.

Permission to be feminine without being restrained.
To be bold without explaining it.

To be playful, expressive, ambitious, creative, a little mysterious—and take up every bit of space that comes with it.

This piece is for the woman who refuses to make herself smaller.

For the woman who lets her personality fill the room.

For the woman who has stopped asking whether she is too much.

For the woman who realizes she was never meant to fit neatly inside someone else’s idea of who she should be.

She was meant to create her own.

This summer was about becoming her.

This summer, I created a lot more than artwork.

I think, in a lot of ways, I was creating my way back to myself.

And it feels right that this is the first piece I share as I begin telling that story.
