The records are here!!! Feels crazy surreal to hold a physical copy of our new record ( @danilobracatsonyc @vikmatic ), Whoosh. A big thank you to @mothertonguerecords for the pressing. And another HUGE thank you to @danilobracatsonyc and @tsonyc for helping me pursue a dream of mine. This project would not be possible without Danilo’s support, guidance , and co-production on Whoosh - whom I’ve been working with for the past few years.

Off the heels of a string of events and projects I’ve worked on with many incredible artists these past few months, I am so excited to share my first EP of original music, in collaboration with @danilobracatsonyc, courtesy of @tsonyc

4 tracks of cosmic / balearic house music - it’s a collection of songs that we have worked on for a while - after a year or so of writing, producing, arranging and re-arranging, it feels surreal to see this EP actually out in the wild!!

Danilo and I want to give a huge shout out and thanks to @coulou__ , @__alveez__, @renwiththemane for their masterful contributions on trumpet , guitar and vox respectively… to @simon_freour for the absolutely incredible artwork… to @mothertonguerecords for the pressing… to @aya__asan for all the amazing video content and promo material around this project … and of course I would like to thank @danilobracatsonyc, a mentor and co-producer on this project, and for wonderfully mixing and mastering the EP.

Danilo Braca and talented trumpet player Coulou have collaborated to release a new single, “Say Hi.” The song blends sensuality, nostalgia, and musical brilliance, starting with a 90s baseline reminiscent of Chicago’s soundscape. As the song progresses, seductive voices create an intimate atmosphere, while the one-take recorded trumpet adds a jazzy, organic energy to the composition. Vintage microphones and 40s tube amplifiers were used to achieve an authentic and rich sound recording. The palpable presence of these elements creates a dynamic and engaging auditory experience, captivating listeners and inviting them to surrender to the groove.

The Fender Rhodes, known for its melodic versatility, adds a touch of elegance and sophistication to “Say Hi.” Its gentle yet commanding swing perfectly accompanies the composition. This single showcases the blending of nostalgic elements with contemporary allure. From the obscure seductive voices to the enthralling 90s baseline, the real live percussions, and the Fender Rhodes swing, every element of “Say Hi” contributes to its undeniable appeal.

Danilo Braca on the other versions, explores a more spacy dub journey and an almost beatless 8-minute take.

“Say Hi” is a must-listen for Chicago’s old-school house fans, lovers of sultry melodies, and anyone admires unique music. Download the single, embrace the journey it offers, and immerse yourself in a world of musical brilliance. by @tsonyc
