I had to visit the Marie Antoinette exhibition at the Yokohama Museum of Art.

This is a touring exhibition that was originally shown at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London last year.
I find it interesting that Japan was chosen as its next stop.

Rococo and Victorian-inspired fashion became popular in Japan in the ’70s and ’80s and eventually led to Lolita fashion. We have an unspoken rule that Rococo styles are only for certain ages, so I slowly grew out of wearing them. But It’s always stayed with me.

When I visited the exhibition, I was so happy to see Japanese women of all ages dressed as Lolita and thriving. It’s beautiful to see them keeping Lolita spirit alive and passing it on to the next generation.

Modern French fashion feels much more about simplicity and sophistication, which I also love and have embraced. But here in Japan, the Marie Antoinette aesthetic is still very much alive in our fashion culture.

Visited the @irisvanherpen exhibition at @brooklynmuseum

I loved walking through the inspiring artworks and creativity behind each design. In the end, the dresses come alive on the runway through the emotion each model brings to them. taken in Brooklyn Museum by @tsubi

Spent a month in NYC, balancing work, taking care of what mattered, and soaking up the summer along the way. Feeling grounded.

For the longest time, I only had the capacity to build a life in New York. Lately, I’ve found room to reconnect with the life I once left behind. As I head back to Japan once again, I’m grateful for the chance to carry both parts of my life forward. by @tsubi

My visit to Mercer Labs wasn’t just about interacting with technology and music. Every room sparked inspiration.

I laughed in the Bubble Room and loved watching my own drawing come to life in the projections.

At the end of the exhibition, I saw the final installation. Two children with gold crowns covering their eyes kept turning the music box, almost as if they were blindfolded and forced to keep working. It felt as though all the joy and entertainment I’d experienced had come from their sacrifice.

The melody stayed with me after I left the building. It made me realize that the exhibition wasn’t just about technology. It was about humanity.

One of the best fashion exhibitions I’ve ever experienced. The @irisvanherpen exhibition at the @brooklynmuseum gave me a new perspective on what fashion forward truly means.

The best part was being drawn into the designer’s world and experiencing her vision through multiple senses. It wasn’t just about seeing the world translated into dresses. It felt like an invitation to look deeper, and to trace them back to her underlying sensibility. ✨ taken in Brooklyn Museum by @tsubi

On Mother’s Day, my mom taught me how to make Hoba Sushi, a traditional regional dish that has been passed down for around 300 years. I grew up eating it every year, and usually both of my grandmothers made it for our family. Since they can’t make it anymore, we decided to continue the tradition together this year. Tomorrow, we’re bringing some to my mom’s mom, and I hope she enjoys it ♡ by @tsubi

In 2019, I decided to become a non-exclusive model and rebuild my portfolio. While I had numerous test shoots with my previous agencies, being under contract limited my ability to be involved in my work and portfolio's direction. My old portfolio represent me as a young, edgy Asian model, but I wanted to update the images to better reflect who I am now.

To achieve this, I primarily reached out to female photographers, sharing my vision through mood boards that outlined my desired styling, hair, and makeup. With my new portfolio, I began work with high-end designers such as Fendi and Akris and more. I am grateful for the opportunity to change my working environment, connect with the right people, and continue growing in my career.
