Hi Tanuki friends,
We’re glad to see you again!

We’re excited to share some of the Danish roasters currently making waves in the specialty coffee scene with Melbourne’s coffee community.

Welcoming Yusei as our curator,

Originally from Hiroshima, And Yusei worked as a manager at Skittle Lane the one of Sydney’s best specialty coffee shops, until 2025.

After returning to Japan, he took on a new challenge in roasting before making his way to Copenhagen where he is now working at La Cabra, one of the most leading in Nordic coffee scene.

who has carefully selected the coffees with his experience across Australia, Japan and Denmark!

Chihiro and Shun will be pouring on the day.

Nick will also be preparing a signature drink and a small selection of sweets to OCP this time

Let’s share some good coffee together.

Hi , Tanuki friends✨

Our Japanese Coffee Pop-Up is over, and I’m still trying to process everything. 🇯🇵☕

After months of preparation, seeing so many people line up from open to close made every late night and every early morning worth it. We were incredibly busy all day, and honestly, I wouldn’t change a thing. It was one of the best moments of my life🥹

Thank you to all our amazing Tanuki friends who came to support us. Every coffee, every dessert, and every conversation meant so much🫶✨

A huge thank you to everyone who helped behind the bar:
☕ Raheel, Cedrick, Brad and Yuki for constantly grinding coffee and keeping us going.
🧼 Stephan and Brad for jumping in to clean and help wherever they could.
🍗Seina chan bring amazing breakfast and support
And when we were almost sold out, thank you to Moses for rushing over with more amazing coffee so we could continue serving everyone.

Seeing so many people enjoy coffees from Japan and our homemade sweets made us so happy. That was exactly what we hoped to share.

To everyone who waited patiently, supported us, and cheered us on—thank you. Melbourne’s coffee community is truly something special, and we’re so grateful to be part of it.

Finally, a very special thank you to Shun @sgsn_shun for inviting me to be part of this journey, and to Nick @from_kimchye for being an incredible teammate. Thank you both for believing in me, supporting me every step of the way, and creating this pop-up together. I’m so grateful that the three of us had the opportunity to share our passion for Japanese coffee with Melbourne. This truly became one of the best moments of my life, and I couldn’t have asked for better people to do it with. I can’t wait to create many more pop-ups together. 🤍

Hopefully everyone enjoyed our coffee and sweets as much as we enjoyed serving them.

We’ve carefully curated a selection of specialty filter coffees from some of our favourite Japanese roasters, featuring everything from elegant washed coffees to rare Geshas from Colombia, Honduras, and Panama.

To pair with your coffee, we’ll be serving our handmade Japanese-inspired sweets:

We wanted to create this pop-up because everyone has been working so hard, people need some time to slow down, take a rest to enjoy a great cup of coffee and sweets.

This time, Chihiro, Shun and Nick are bringing something special to SNKPK!

We’ve carefully curated coffees from 3 famous Japanese coffee roasters featuring :
