As Director of Music Platforms at Marshall Group, this week’s TMT guest knows all about being loud. Steve Tannett has been immersed in the biz since the ‘70s, from being a member of first-wave punk band Menace to working with Miles Copeland at IRS Records, and has war stories involving everyone from REM and The Police to Black Sabbath and Ginger Baker. Ten Years of Marshall Records ❤️

The rooms were never quiet - The Molotovs had been selling out for well over a year by then, but that was the thing about Mathew - he could take a packed, roaring room and make it hold its breath, eyes down on the head of his guitar, feeling and then seizing the moment. June 2024, Steve Tannett saw a clip of exactly that and knew. Not the music. The man.

What you're watching is the night it became real - the Molotovs' Christmas party '24 at Dingwalls, the phenomenal Issey announcing the deal from the stage like she'd been born for the spotlight, the photo with Marshall Records, the whole place erupting at the news! Then 'Wasted On Youth' live and in full at Camden Music Festival nine months on - the album's title track, Mathew out front, Issey anchoring it all on bass, Noah driving the drums harder than the rain that was falling that night!

Two UK No.1 singles. A No.3 debut album. The UK, Europe, America. TV in three countries, radio everywhere. Welcome To Urbia next.
