I know that it’s long overdue, but I want to express my gratitude for placing second runner-up in my very first pageant, Miss Black UofL. The journey has been beautiful, and I am so grateful to have experienced it alongside exceptionally dedicated women. I think it’s crucial to take every opportunity possible to show gratitude and embrace our beautiful culture always, but especially in a world where there are fights to have our presence and voices diminished and overshadowed. My identity as a Black woman is incredibly valuable to me, and I believe that it is our collective responsibility to live as our true selves and serve as representations of what Black excellence can truly be, whatever that may mean to you. ❤️ thank yaaa by @ttejanee
