Improved version of an Inktober artwork from last year.
The time between the original version (2nd slide) and the improved version is less than four months (I think?).
Little storytime to this one...
When I participated in Inktober last year, it was the second time doing it digitally. I still have a lot of things to learn. Backgrounds are one of on them if you couldn't tell. And also time management. Time management or more like blindness due to rushing through artworks is the reason why the original verison looks the way it does. I was proud with the continuing story I came up with for last years inktober, but to be honest I wasn't happy with most of the artworks I uploaded during that time.
I am really happy with this improved version. It was fun experimenting with the different layers setting. I am going to upload more improved and colorful versions of the Inktober artworks.
One major mistake I made is, that I accidentally only saved the version with the merged layers of the improved version. I am open to constructive criticism and advice for background improvements but I probably won't be able to incorporate it in this artwork.... Welp. Until next time~

A drawing I did at tge end of 2024. She's supposed to eat a pomegranate in a very messy and dramatic way, but it just looks odd. I never posted it because I thought it looks bad. What do you think?

Let's go for a little spring hike 🎒🥾
.
I started to colour some inktober artworks to get back into drawing and it is so much fun!
I also finished my bachelor thesis a few months ago and I am going to graduate with B.Sc. degree this summer. Isn't that amazing? I plan to keep studying for a master's degree tho....But until then I'm going to be as productive as I can!

Happy fourth Advent🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️
I spent a week redrawing this Christmas artwork. On the last slide you can see all three old versions of this drawing from 2016, 2017 and 2018.
I remember being so proud of this drawing in 2016 and I spent so much time just sketching it, I can't believe how much I improved. I can finish a whole drawing in the time I needed for a sketch back then 😂
Anyway, today I am proud of this redraw, especially all the details. I'm going to upload a closer look of them in the next few days.
I hope you enjoy and like this artwork and have a great Christmas 🎄✨
I'm happy about any 🩷, shares and constructive advice ☃️

DAY27: ONION
"LUNCH WILL BE DONE IN A MINUTE!", Mara yelled up the stairs. She hoped Vic would hear her up on the attic where they tried to sort through the decorations for the upcoming winter festivities.
Mara went back in the kitchen to finish the sandwiches. Vic joined her after a few minutes, still picking cobwebs out of their hair.
"Is that my old helmet?", they asked and stepped behind Mara to peek over her shoulder.
"I mean you can't use it anymore but I find it quite helpful. Much better than the goggles."
"But you looked adorable with them. Like a fish."
Mara turned around "and after I took them off I looked like a Racoon that barely survived an eye infection. No thank you, I'll keep the helmet."
.
She's still not allowed near the stove.

DAY26: PUZZLING
Vic stumbled into the kitchen after nearly walking into the doorframe .
"Mara?", they asked, "are you here?"
Mara was sitting at the kitchen table, fighting to not burst out laughing. "I'm sitting right here, honey."
Vic turned around and walked into the direction of her voice, walking against the table. Mara started to laugh quietly and stood to gently guided Vic to sit on a chair. She stood in front of them and looked at the bright orange object.
Giggling she asked, "How did you manage to get a pumpkin stuck on your head?"
"I honestly don't know! I was taking a nap in the garden and next thing I knew it was darker than it's supposed to be and I am barely able to see!"
She put both her hands at each side of the pumpkin to take a better look.
"You think it could've been the kids of our neighbours? They have been playing pranks on everyone for the past two weeks."
"Oh I'm very sure it was them.", Vic pouted and raised their head, trying to look at Mara's face.
"Please help me?"
She nodded. "Okay, let's get this thing off your head."
She grabed the pumpkin and tried to pull it over Vic's head. After it didn't want to move, she said "This doesn't work... Magic it is."
Her hands started to glow and the orange under her hand started to crack. Not even ten seconds later, the offending fruit laid on the floor in tiny pieces.
"That's much better. Thank you my love.",Vic pulled Mara into a hug, wrapping their arms around her waist and burying their face into her sweater. "I was scared to never see your beautiful face again", they mumbled into her sweater.
The fairy looked back down, smiling and hugging Vic back.
"You're too adorable." she said and started to lick leftover pumpkin bits from Vic's hair.
.
Long story short: don't fall asleep in your garden when your neighbour's kids are pranksters.

DAY25: INFERNO
"Soo.... What's for dinner?", Vic asked.
"Flamming hot as hell pancakes."
"What are flaming hot-...", Vic stopped mid-sentence to take in the situation in front of them.
They stared silently at eachother.
Suddenly, the lights flickered off, indicating that the too hot stove top caused a short circuit.
They took a minute of silence to watch the pancake burn.
"I check the fuse box, you're going to order takeout?", offered Vic.
"I love you, please marry me.", replied Mara.
.
Needless to say, Mara wasn't allowed to use the stove unsupervised from there on.

DAY23 FIREFLY
.
There are funny little creatures on some planets.
.
Ok, that's it. I couldn't do it anymore, it needed some colour. I needed some colour. It looked so sad. I definitely don't have the skills and knowledge to make this look great in only black and white and gray yet, so I will post the remaining artworks in colour.
