I’m proud of myself! Graduating has been a journey of resilience and determination. Life was never easy for me, but I did my best to make it look like it was. From experiencing childhood homelessness to living with bipolar disorder I’ve overcome a lot of worldly and internal battles.
I’m thankful for my incredible parents who made the decision to move their family from the westside of Chicago to the west side of Madison. Without that leap of faith, I wouldn’t have become a PEOPLE Scholar or had the chance to attend UW-Madison. Here, I met the best friends anyone could ask for, got married, and most importantly, found myself. I’m thankful to be the youngest of 10 and for the blessings of wisdom and knowledge I received so early in life due to my position in the family.
This journey was not just about overcoming obstacles but about celebrating the victories. Here’s to proving that no matter where you start, with hard work and SUPPORT, you can achieve whatever you set your mind to. Happy to join the 1% of real niggas with bachelor degrees. ❤️🤍❤️ by @ttforpresident
