Have you already seen this powerful show? by @ttfshows

Performed to sold-out audiences and high acclaim in Pittsburgh, Dallas, and more, I’M PROUD OF YOU recently received its southeast regional premiere in East Nashville with Tennessee Theater Fellowship. Due to the overwhelming response to that limited engagement run, TTF is excited to announce a return engagement of I’M PROUD OF YOU at the wonderful Soli Deo Center on the campus of Christ Presbyterian Academy.

This auto-biographical play from New York Times best-selling writer Tim Madigan is a truly life-affirming work, based on his life-altering relationship with Fred Rogers (Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood). In the mid 1990’s, As Tim sets out to write a story on television violence, a chance to interview Fred Rogers becomes a lifeline for a man with whose “inner furies” were hiding just below the surface. The love and intentionality of Rogers has far-reaching effects on Tim, and his family. Co-written with Harry Parker, this intimate and moving production has resonated with theatre-goers and critics alike. It reminds us of the joys and deep pains of human existence, and our need for kindness and authentic relationships as we navigate them.

Note: This show is presented without intermission and is just under 90 minutes in length. Tickets available now! by @ttfshows

We are so thankful to have had such a meaningful conversation on @wpln about the importance of having a post show talk back — and those of you who were present at our talkbacks from our August production of I’M PROUD OF YOU understand how moving and special these times of fellowship are.

TTF is committed to fostering this in our city and we hope you’ll join us for I’M PROUD OF YOU December 2-6th at the Soli Deo Center and stay for a talkback.

Mr. Rogers spent his whole life telling people they were worth loving just as they are. This show brings that kind of warmth to the stage. It’s gentle, honest, and the kind of story that sends you home feeling a little softer and a little more seen.

If you’ve had a long week, a long semester, or a long year, this is your sign to come sit in a room full of kindness for a night.

We all spend nearly $100 a month or even more on coffee shop visits in a given month, but we say we can’t afford to go to the theater or to donate to nonprofits. What if even reducing our latte consumption by half could make a huge difference as a monthly donation or a ticket purchased to a local theater company? You can make a bigger difference than you think with very small changes.

I’M PROUD OF YOU returns to the Soli Deo Center this December and Broadway World had some things to say about our first run….will we see you at the second? Tickets on sale now in our bio and website. by @ttfshows

For 25 years, America’s looked back in horror at the events of September 11, 2001. But, as our latest production taught us… we can also look back with gratitude and reverence at the “helpers” - firefighters, policeman, doctors, soldiers, and ordinary citizens, who did what they could for their fellow man in terrible times. TTF wants to be a helper in our community - fostering connection, goodness, and empathy in our little corner of America through the power of live theatre. Link in bio to learn more. by @ttfshows

We’re still basking in the glow and filled with gratitude from our latest production. I’M PROUD OF YOU touched audiences and impacted people in ways we haven’t seen in a long time. Thank you to all the sponsors who made it possible!
