Busy fall morning of sports, so Troy and I had to divide and conquer! 🏃‍♀️🏈🍂

Hattie finished 10th out of 117 girls at the Ozark Cross Country Meet! So proud of her! 🏅 ♥️

Jackson’s team got the WIN, and he even got to play QB for a play. 😂 It wasn’t exactly pretty, but he threw a TD pass his first time at QB, so he was pretty excited!

Love these busy fall sports mornings and watching these kids do what they love! 🧡 by @ttrips

Happy Birthday to Troy! ❤️

The guy who somehow keeps all of us going — coaching kids’ sports, fixing whatever is broken, keeping the pool, RV, boat and jet ski running, and handling the million other things I decide we need to do. 😂

But more than anything, he’s the one who shows up. For me, for our kids, and for our family. He’s spent his life serving others — as a Marine, in law enforcement, and now as the dad who is always on a field, court or sideline somewhere supporting our kids.

He’s also my person — the one I want beside me through all of life’s chaos, the one I can count on, laugh with, lean on and share everything with. Life with four kids and our crazy schedules is never boring, but I’m so thankful I get to do all of it with him.

Happy Birthday, Troy! We love you and appreciate you more than we probably tell you. ❤️ Here’s to another year of me coming up with projects and shenanigans you figuring out how to make them happen. 😂 by @ttrips

Love watching this one play football on Saturday mornings.🥰 He’s playing up a grade again this year, and we got him on a really good team with some killer little athletes and great coaches.

I know it’ll be a different kind of year for him—not always being one of the star players—but being surrounded by friends who challenge him and coaches who push him will only make him better.

It may be a lot for my competitive heart 😂, but I know it’ll be good for him. Excited to watch him grow this season! 🏈❤️ by @ttrips

NWA friends, I’d love your help making sure children in our community have gifts to open on Christmas morning. ❤️

This photo is from the first time I took my children shopping for another child through Sharing & Caring. They were so proud to pick out gifts for someone they’d never met. I still remember how excited they were to help.

I now serve on the board of Sharing & Caring of Benton County, and that experience is one reason its Hope at Christmas program means so much to me. Each child shares a list of things they want and need, and a volunteer shops just for them. I never want a child in our community to wake up on Christmas morning without a gift to open.

This year, I’ve set a goal to find shoppers for 25 more children. If you’d like to adopt one—or more—you can sign up here: http://sharingandcaringkids.com/adopt (link in comments).

You’ll receive your child’s list by email and choose what to buy and where to shop. Plan to spend about $150 per child, then drop the gifts off at the distribution center. Sharing & Caring will prepare them for the family along with food and other donated essentials.

If you’d like to help but don’t have time to shop, message me. I’d be happy to shop for a child on your behalf. And if you sign up to shop, please let me know so I can thank you personally and track our progress toward 25!

Thank you for helping a child in Benton County feel remembered and cared for this Christmas. 🎄 by @ttrips

Fresh off a night shift at the police department, I remember sitting there exhausted but unable to take my eyes off the television as the world changed in front of us.

I can still remember the disbelief, the fear, and the overwhelming sadness of that morning. As someone in law enforcement, watching first responders run toward unimaginable danger hit especially hard. So many went to work that day simply doing their jobs and never made it home to their families.

Over the years, we’ve made it a point to take each of our kids to the 9/11 Memorial—to stand where it happened, to share the stories of that day, and to help them understand the sacrifice, courage, and loss of so many people. They weren’t there to experience it, but it’s important to us that they know the history and understand why we will never forget.

25 years later, I can still remember exactly where I was and how it felt. I think about the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the first responders who ran toward danger when everyone else was trying to escape.

Some memories never fade. Some stories are too important not to pass on.

We remember. We honor them. And we will never forget. 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙 by @ttrips
