The world changed in a flash.

I can still remember that day so vividly—the shock and the overwhelming sorrow. September 11, 2001, is a day that never really leaves you. For those of us who were there, who witnessed the aftermath, and who lived through those days and months that followed, the memories remain deeply personal.

Twenty-five years later, we still remember. We still grieve. We still honor.

Today was especially meaningful to me as we placed a memorial at the New Brunswick Train Station honoring those whose lives were taken on September 11, 2001.

A train station is a fitting place for this memorial. Every day, people come and go—beginning their journeys, returning home, meeting loved ones, and going about their lives. It reminds us of something we can never take for granted: the ordinary moments of life can change in an instant.

This memorial gives our community a place to stop, to reflect, and to remember the lives behind the names and the stories. It also honors the first responders and all those who ran toward danger when others were running away.

For me, this is more than a memorial. It is a personal reminder of a day that changed my life and the lives of so many others.

Twenty-five years later, we remember them. We honor them. And we will NEVER FORGET.

Thanks to @thecityofnewbrunswick @nbhumanservices @njnbpa and SPECIAL THANKS to the Director @keith_jonesii and artist @sculptor_dawnarena for making this happen! by @tubs63
