Update

Hey guys… we have made the decision to cremate China. The cost and the logistics of getting him home are just a lot.

One week in I feel it’s the right thing to do and what he would have wanted.

The cremation is on Monday morning at 10:30am - please DM me with any ideas, suggestions or request to make the moment as special as possible.

I am allowed to video link the ceremony and as much as dad was wanting a private ceremony I think under the circumstances I would like to invite anyone to join on the link I will share - please feel free to share to Robert’s friends

I will fly home with his ashes on Monday and we will set a date for a wake/celebrations in Perth in the next few weeks

Please reach out to me to discuss anything on your mind.

Lots of love guys and again thank you for all the love and support being sent our way.

Geez my dad knew some beautiful and amazing people.

Love you Dad ❤️ by @tuckerbox_catering

After 7 incredible years, the time has come to say goodbye to Tuckerbox Paddington.

This wasn’t an easy decision, but with the support of those closest to me, we agreed it’s time to pass the baton and step into something new. It’s been an absolute privilege to serve this community.

The friendships, the memories, and even the challenges are something I’ll always carry with me.

Running a café through COVID, post-COVID, and some of the toughest financial conditions our industry has seen tested everything.

I’m grateful for every coffee poured, every conversation shared, and every person who walked through the door.

We’re now shifting into catering, along with paddock-to-plate dining and collaborative food experiences….something that feels exciting, creative, and more aligned with what’s ahead.

There’s a lot in the pipeline and I can’t wait to share it as it unfolds.

I look forward to seeing what comes next on that corner and wish the new operators every success.

At 44, I’m ready for a new chapter. Life has a way of making those calls for you sometimes.

This isn’t the end of Tuckerbox Paddington… just the next evolution.

If you’d like to enquire about catering or collaborate, please reach out. We’ll be keeping this Instagram — come with us on the journey of what’s ahead.

Thank you Paddington for all your love and support… forever grateful 🥰😘😘🙏🙏🙏 taken in Tuckerbox by @tuckerbox_catering

Have we found Sydney’s best pies?

Tuckerbox on William Street has built a quiet following for its house-made pies (and matcha lattés that hold their own). It’s the kind of spot people will cross town for, and locals keep in regular rotation.

Next time you’re in Paddington, you know what to do. 🥧 by @tuckerbox_catering
