For this piece, I experimented tufting with New Zealand wool for the first time and I am very pleased with how it came out.

Wool contains coarse fibers, which was tougher to carve with my clippers and definitely dulled a few blades in the process. However I love how it turned out and I can’t wait to create more rugs using wool. I used variations of greens from @tuftingnation and tufting supplies from @tuftingshop.

This piece, “Untitled”, is available for purchase. My commissions are currently open for the winter season, get your submissions in before they close.

A message for our U.S. customers.

Prior to August 29, orders valued under $800 from Canada to the U.S. could cross the border without tariffs. This was known as the de minimis exemption. Since August 29th, this rule has changed — the U.S. government of Donald Trump has eliminated the de minimis exemption. Shipments of goods to the United States are now subject to taxes payable by the recipients. Unfortunately, we do not yet know exactly how this will all play out.

As a Canadian company, and like many small businesses around the world, we’re waiting for more clarity on how this will be implemented. Right now, it’s unclear which products will be affected, how fees will be charged, or how this might vary by courier.

Some of our products are made in Canada and should be protected by the USMCA free trade agreement between our two countries. However, it is still unclear how they will be treated by US customs officials when entering the US.

For that reason, like 88 countries around the world, we have no other choice but to temporarily pause all US orders while we await clear and transparent guidance from the relevant authorities. Although it breaks our hearts, we want to spare our American customers from experiencing delays in the delivery of their goods or being surprised by extra fees upon receipt of their packages.

We will continue to update you as we know more. We may have to make some changes in the coming weeks to ensure our U.S. customers are protected.

We want to thank all our US customers for your continued support of our small business as we navigate these new American policies together. Your orders and loyalty truly mean the world to us.❤️

Our shop will still be open as usual for all our Canadian customers. Your support is more valuable than ever. Thanks for being here with us. ❤️ by @tuftingnation
