What an amazing experience at the Big Cat Sanctuary! 🦁❤️

Even breakfast was an experience, when this beautiful lion decided to come and join me!

Luckily, I wasn’t on her breakfast menu! 😂🦁

Such an incredible place and a real privilege to get this close to these magnificent animals and see the fantastic work being done there.

🇹🇷 What can the human and animal worlds learn from each other when it comes to reproduction? 🧬

After an absolutely fantastic few days in Istanbul, I think the answer is a huge amount!

I was incredibly honoured to be invited as a keynote speaker at The Future of Fertility, speaking in front of around 600 doctors, gynaecologists and human reproduction specialists from across the world.

My presentation, “Reproducing Hope: Bridging Human Fertility Science and Species Survival,” explored something I’m hugely passionate about — the knowledge transfer between human and animal reproductive science.

From the work we have developed over many years with stallions at Stallion AI Services, through to the work we are now doing to help preserve endangered species at Nature's SAFE, there is so much knowledge, science and experience that can be shared.

And importantly, that knowledge transfer works both ways. 🔬🐴🦏👶

We have learnt an enormous amount from advances in human reproductive medicine, but equally, research and techniques developed in the animal world can help inform and inspire the human fertility world too.

This is only the second time I’ve had the privilege of presenting to a predominantly human medical audience, rather than my usual world of veterinarians, scientists and conservationists, and I absolutely loved it!

What a fantastic event, full of inspirational people, fascinating conversations and experts from all over the world. 🌍

A very special thank you to Alison Campbell for inviting me and to Gedeon Richter for organising such an outstanding conference and making me feel so welcome. 👏❤️

I came away more convinced than ever that by sharing knowledge across the human, animal and conservation worlds, we can all learn from each other and achieve so much more. 🧬🌍

What more could we achieve if we shared even more knowledge between these different worlds?

An amazing experience and a real privilege to have been part of it. 🇹🇷❤️ by @tullismatson

🇹🇷 The Future of Fertility – Istanbul 🧬🌍

What an incredible venue and an amazing event!

I’m delighted to be in Istanbul as a keynote speaker at The Future of Fertility, alongside around 500 gynaecologists and fertility specialists from across the world.
The scale of this event is quite something — really looking forward to sharing our story and hopefully reproducing a little hope for the future! 🙌🌍

🎓 One of the biggest honours of my life.

Today I had the incredible privilege of receiving an Honorary Doctorate of Science from Harper Adams University.

It is difficult to put into words just how much this means to me. It has been an incredibly emotional day, and I don’t mind admitting that receiving this honour has affected me more than I ever expected.

I left school with no qualifications and struggled badly with dyslexia throughout my education. But looking back today, I genuinely believe dyslexia has also been one of my greatest gifts.

To have the work we have done over so many years recognised in this way means the absolute world to me. From the science and technologies we have developed through Stallion AI Services, Gemini Genetics and Elite Kennel Fertility, through to the conservation work of Nature's SAFE and now the creation of the UK National Livestock Biobank — it has been an extraordinary journey. 🧬🐴🐕🐘🐄🌍

To see science and technology that started with animal reproduction evolve into something that can help protect endangered species, preserve our livestock genetics and contribute to the future of our natural world is something I am immensely proud of.

I genuinely feel that I share this honour with the amazing team around me. I simply could not have achieved any of this without their hard work, passion, knowledge, friendship and belief in what we are trying to achieve.

I owe so much of this award to them. ❤️

And, of course, none of this would have been possible without the incredible support of my family. Sarah,India and Ollie have been beside me through all the highs and lows, the crazy ideas, the long days and all the challenges that come with trying to turn those ideas into reality.

Sarah in particular has supported me throughout this journey, and I know I simply could not have done it without her. ❤️

So this honour belongs to my family and my team just as much as it does to me.

🐴 Last day at BEVA Congress! 🐴

It’s been another amazing Congress, as always, and we’ve had a fantastic few days catching up with so many friends, vets and colleagues from across the industry.

But today is extra special for me, as I’ve got both my offspring, India and Ollie, on the Stallion AI Services stand with us. ❤️

A very proud dad moment having the next generation alongside me! 😊

Thank you to everyone who has come over to see us, have a chat and grab a drink. It’s been brilliant.

Here’s to a great final day at BEVA! 🐴🥂🎉 by @tullismatson

A huge thank you to everyone at @Noble Futures for taking on part of the Sandstone Trail to raise vital funds for Nature's SAFE. 👏🥾💚

Your support is making a real difference in helping us protect the future of endangered species. Every step you’ve taken helps strengthen our mission to slow biodiversity loss and build an insurance policy for the natural world through the preservation of irreplaceable genetic material.

A special thank you to Tony Noble of Noble Futures and as a trustee of Nature’s SAFE, for his continued passion, leadership and commitment to our cause. Your support means a great deal to us.

It was a pleasure to welcome the team to our laboratories after the walk and show you first-hand the important conservation work taking place behind the scenes. We hope seeing the science in action helped demonstrate the impact your fundraising will have.

A special mention also goes to Di, who very kindly came out along the route with refreshments for everyone. Your thoughtfulness and support were hugely appreciated and helped keep the team going!

From everyone at Nature’s SAFE, thank you all for your incredible effort, generosity and enthusiasm. Together, we really are making a difference for wildlife and future generations. 💚 🦋🐟🦍🐢🦓🐌🦅🦇🦔🦒🪸🦨🐅🦏🐆🐘🦛🔬❄️🧬❄️
