Apparently a raincoat can have range.

Styled this one from @luxtonwoman my way and took it to hang out with the cattle. Because practical doesn’t have to mean boring, and I refuse to save good clothes for places with clean floors.

The cows were indifferent. I looked fabulous anyway.

There’s something about buying your first real cowgirl hat.

For some of us, it happens when we’re little girls. For others, it comes later in life. But that first hat can become more than something we wear—it becomes part of our style, our story, and sometimes even something we hope to pass down.

Coming up on the IWD406 Podcast @theiwd406podcast , we’re chatting with Jane Stewart about her incredible Western style and influence. Jane is becoming a beautiful representation of women embracing Western fashion over 60—and let me tell you, this woman was born with style. Companies like @smithbilthats and @tumbleweedbrand and many others are seeking her Western Style as she is making a bold statement for women, empowerment and purpose driven life.

During our conversation, Jane shares the story of buying her first real cowgirl hat and how that moment helped transform her style personality.

It immediately made me think about my own.

I remember buying my first real cowgirl hat from Glacier Rim @glacierrimhats and how exciting it was to create a custom design that felt completely like me. What made it even more meaningful was knowing that someday, my daughter might wear it.

Then came her first hat.

She wanted a real cowgirl hat to wear to the local Blue Moon Rodeo @bluemooncolumbiafalls , so we went to @smbwhitefish , where the women there made buying her first Stetson @stetsonusa such a memorable experience. Watching her put it on and seeing how excited she was to wear it to the rodeo that evening is something I’ll never forget.
