Hello 40 + 1

Weeks: 2,139 weeks (approximately)
Days: 14,975 days (including 10 leap years)
Hours: 359,400 hours plus 1 hour ( it's 01h00 now, and I normally don't make it past midnight cos age IYKYK 🫣🤣)

Waking up every single day and facing the tests of this life has not been a walk of ease, but it has truly been a victorious journey. I have faced challenges that threatened to pull me under, and I have walked through seasons where the darkness felt heavy. Yet, I have come to realize a profound truth over these 41 years: the light is not waiting for me at the far end of the tunnel. The light is right here, inside the tunnel with me.

That light is hope. It is the unwavering anchor that keeps me moving when the road gets rough. Life has not been easy, but every single morning that God breathes life into my lungs, He sends a clear message: my story is not finished. As long as I have breath, God still has a plan, a purpose, and a breakthrough with my name on it.

I don't need to see the entire horizon to move forward. I only need enough guidance for the next step, which is why my heart anchors securely to His promise:

"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." — Psalm 119:105
God’s Word has been my daily compass. When the world is confusing, His truth illuminates my immediate steps, protecting me from falling and giving me the strength to stand tall. I step into my 41st year knowing that the author of my life is still writing, and the best chapters are yet to come.

To my family and close friends:
As I look back on these 40 years and step boldly into 41, my heart overflows with gratitude for you. None of us are meant to walk through the tunnels of life alone. Thank you for being the hands that lifted me up, the voices that encouraged me, and the family and friends who loved me through every twist and turn.

You are a vital part of my victorious journey. My prayer for you today is that the same grace, hope, and light that God has poured into my life will overflow into yours. May He protect you, bless your steps, and keep us united as we watch the rest of this beautiful story unfold together. Thank you for walking this road with me. by @tums_se

My prayer for the first week of being away from home has been, Lord, how do I ease into this transition? 🏡

Moving to a new city, new job, and new home often means leaving behind a home, neighborhood, routines, and social connections that provided comfort and stability. This major life change has been overloading my nervous system 😮‍💨🤦🏽‍♀️ * God is probably laughing at me about this cos I prayed for it, and He answered 🙈

It has me holding both gratitude for my new space and discomfort of the unfamiliar. Growth is deeply uncomfortable because it forces you into uncharted territory. It requires shedding old habits, confronting uncertainties, and unlearning what feels safe.

I also have such an intense mix of homesickness 🤣🤣🤣🤞🏽 but I am learning to take it one day at a time. And yes, I know, it will get better with time.

So, if you are starting from scratch, know that it's gonna be okay 🫂
