We bring you another #meetthefemaas post! Introducing our tuna’s stickiest member: Velcro 🥳

After admiring us from the distance for over a year, she finally joined us and decided to go full steam ahead! Between getting herself a suit within the first couple of weeks, traveling to Paris to play with @tunadeparis and even learning fluent Spanish in a month, she surely out-tuna-ed us all 💃 Just like velcro, once she decides to stick to something, she doesn’t let go easily. With her silly, kind and steadfast self she brightens every room that she enters, and we are so lucky to count Velcro as one of our members! by @tunafemaas

Dia de Los muertos is definitely a day to remember loved ones🕯🩷

Today on #meetthefemaas we are happy to present our very own Plutón 🪐✨🌌

Plutón is this small intrepid planet coming from the universe of the conservatory, shy at the start, but with an incredible force that was waiting to be unhinged.

At the start of her she moved around a lot, living in several cities, it was a mystery whether she was in our solar system or not. However, she has demonstrated endurance and a doubtless commitment, whether it be as a secretary, helping organise events, or helping arrange songs, playing multiple instruments, included the transverse flute and being there together with her hermanas

⚠️Black socks are back ⚠️ … but only for this long awaited baptism post

We are extremely happy to announce our Becas Topalce and Hormiga Atomica ❤️💙

Topalce is non other than the meeting point of a topo (mole) and an alce (moose). She can be found wandering through the forest, enchanting it with her lovely voice and epic bandurria lines, and making a warm cup of tea for any hermanas passing through. She is a steady presence in our group who brings laughter with her wherever she goes. It’s with incredible pride that we give her her Beca 🫎🤩

Hormiga Atomica is a strong willed, talented tunante, with the great strength of an ant allowing her to overpass every treacherous turn and challenge the tuna world has thrown at her (such as assignments pushing her to go say hi to people) while uplifting all her hermanas :) We are so proud to give her this much deserved Beca 🐜⚛️

¡ Femaas spotted in Úbeda !

La semana pasada participamos en el XXVIII Certamen
Internacional de Tunas Andrés de Vandelvira en Úbeda, donde ganamos el premio al mejor pasacalle 🏆

Encima de eso pasamos un muy buen viaje, disfrutamos mucho con las otras tunas y pudimos visitar Córdoba. O sea, un finde de puta madre :)

Muchas gracias a la @tunaunedubeda por su hospitalidad y alegría, ojalá que nos veamos pronto !

Last week we participated in the XXVIII Certamen
Internacional de Tunas Andrés de Vandelvira en Úbeda where we won the prize for mejor pasacalles 🏆

On top of that we spent a great trip, had lots of fun hanging out with other tunas, and were able to visit Córdoba!

De studenten van de zogeheten Tuna de Universitaria Maastricht lijken op pad voor een vrolijke serenade, maar achter hun muziek schuilt een eeuwenoude traditie die ooit ontstond in Spanje en Portugal 💃🪕

¡Enhorabuena! We are extremely happy to announce our newest Becas Más Hierbas and Perdiguera D’Oro ❤️💙

Perdiguera D’Oro has come such a long way, from a super enthusiastic newbie with the biggest smile to a strong, inspiring force within Tuna. Over the years, she’s grown immensely, not only musically but also in how she supports and uplifts those around her. Her voice, energy, and love for making music together bring so much joy to our Tuna. This honor is so well deserved, here’s to continuing to shine and enjoy every moment ✨

Más Hierbas is such an inspiration to us, because she was part of a previous Tuna Femenina de Maastricht. Alongside her hermanas, they persevered through a difficult period where women were not accepted in the tuna world that we know today. Still, she made great memories and friends across Spain and the Netherlands.
We are so happy that she saw our tuna years later and decided to revisit her amazing Tuna life! She brought us so much joy and wisdom, and we are so proud to give her this much deserved Beca after all these years of growing, learning, and bringing her whole self to the tuna journey.
