🌀 Next up on the Tunda show is @sharleenadaobi aka @theafroasis , a DJ and producer who crafts soulful, percussive soundscapes that bridge global African heritage music.

💃 Her sets are a journey through an ‘oasis of sound,’ celebrating rhythm, culture, and a shared sense of joy across continents. Afroasis has graced stages from Cambridge and London to Medellín, Colombia, with appearances on Aaja Radio and CamFM. She has also collaborated with brands like Red Bull, joining their national House Party tour in partnership with Revolution, and has played a supporting set for BBC 1XTRA’s Rampage Sound.

🇳🇬 For this month’s Tunda show, Afroasis showcases Igbo-language music, from highlife to amapiano. Through both her selection and commentary, Afroasis highlights challenges the language has faced, and continues to face, and the importance of music in language protection.

Tunda is back this month on @aajamusic with Redwood (@anaradu24) taking the reigns with an eclectic 1.5 hour mix that spans the percussive bass continuum 😎

@avran_murky will then close with a quick mix of tracks that have really inspired the show - it’s been a busy month or so moving to 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 so I’ve slipped on the admin front but i will (probably) get my sit together 🕺
