Operating in an environment with relative humidity as high as 80%, this precision-machined clevis was designed with material expansion firmly in mind. Increased moisture levels can cause the material to expand, reducing the bore size for press-fit bearings and introducing unwanted stress on the alignment shaft.
Leveraging Tungsten Engineering’s expertise in Design for Manufacture and assembly, we identified these risks early and applied additional machining allowances to ensure correct fitment under real operating conditions. The result is smooth assembly, maintained alignment, and reduced stress on critical components.
By preventing premature bearing and shaft wear, this approach extends equipment service life and delivers long-term cost savings for our clients.

Our experienced welding team is currently fabricating a mirror-polished tubular frame for a major conveyor project. The design was developed in-house by our skilled CAD team, who supplied 3D models for the customer to integrate into their full factory layout to ensure the concept met the brief before release to the shopfloor.

Working with care to protect the mirror finish, our fabrication team is delivering a precise, high-quality frame that will elevate the overall appearance of the finished conveyor system.

Tungsten are able to cater for even the largest of jobs. Here we use a 20 tonne FLT to ingress a large, valuable machine prior to it's commissioning. We identified and supplied the necessary equipment and expertise to ensure that the machine was offloaded and transported into position safely and smoothly.

We were recently approached by a large manufacturer to design, build, and install a bespoke stainless steel platform to provide safe and efficient access to one of their key machines.

Our team handled the full process — from concept and design through fabrication and on-site installation — ensuring the finished platform met all safety, functionality, and quality requirements and above all compliance with BSI standards.

A nice aluminium job for us here. Bespoke air freight pallets designed to safely transport the stainless product drums they encase. We designed and manufactured a welding fixture to aid in the manufacture of the 15 pallet assemblies ordered.

Miniature drum baffle for pharmaceutical mixing/blending application. Manufactured from 316 grade stainless steel. All welds ground and blended into parent material. Sub 0.4ra finish all over. Dye pen checked.

We joke around that these drive units are glorified cement mixers but that doesn’t do them justice. The reality is that these are some or the smartest bits of kit we make. The outrigger legs parallelism is of the upmost importance as a set of slinging rails mount a retractable guard with access doors at the front and must glide seamlessly. Product extrusion stacks. Designed with a joggled machined flange to prevent product escaping. Parts can be stripped down and cleaned with ease. Some square to round extruder nozzels were made to go with these too.
