The more things change the more they stay the same when I began acting. I had to mail in head shots and resumes and auditions were almost always in person. The @dramabookshop is and invaluable resource and I am so grateful it is still here. Thank you @lin_manuel. WE NEEDTHIS SPACE. @davidkorins the design is equally inspiring as it is impeccable. DANCE AFRICA 2026 was amazing. The weather was rainy in NYC all weekend. At the last minute I told the kids come on lets go!!! We ran downtown and had a ball!!! The show was amazing. The spirit walkers reminded us that we are all one people from the primordial waters of Earth. @asaseyaa Was solid gold!!! Pristine and phenomenal demonstration of culture and dance. Beautiful powerful and an honor to experience. @smokinmirrorzintl @dacky_coochyfrito @msrubiedance tore that stage UP!!!
The Ugandans DID NOT COME TO PLAY. As soon as the first drum beat licked ALL OF THE CHILDREN in our section shot up out of their seats. I never seen that!!! Black White Asian all of them...EVERY SINGLE CHILD POPPED UP AND BEGAN DANCING. THIS IS THE POWER OF THE DRUM. The power of Africa!!! I am so honored to be part of this beautiful legacy @queenafua @reiki_wisdom @browngirlbooklover so much more love yall♥️♥️♥️ by @tunuthom
