Proof that trust is the best life jacket. 🛟💙 It’s taken time, patience, and a lot of encouragement, but watching Turfie dive into the deep on her own is a feeling I can’t describe. She knows when to push herself and when to head back to shore to rest. Is it scary? Yes. Is it worth it? Absolutely. Life is too short to stay on the shore. #goldenretriever #swimming #ocean #cebu #dogsofinstagram by @turfiegoldie
I rescued Tika! One very hot day, I kept telling the hooman there was something on the plantbox, but she told me to stop barking - SO NATURALLY, I BARKED EVEN LOUDER ‘til she finally decided to listen to me. There we found this very exhausted Kingfisher or Tikarol, a native bird in the Philippines, barely able to move. So we put her in a box to help her rest and examine her. There were no wounds or punctures but we could tell that Tika had a hard time breathing, so we gave her the most basic first aid - WATER In here, you can see that Tika was very very thirsty. This was one of the days that the sun was all out and there was no rain. After she had a good amount of water, she nursed herself back to health. The hooman made sure to only give minimal intervention so as not to disrupt with her wildlife instinct. Can you believe all she needed was water? I named her Tika, short for Tikarol 😄 To this day, I wonder where she is and whether she is doing okay… #goldenretrieversofinstagram #goldenretriever #dog #dogsofinstagram #funnyanimals #doglover #cutedogs #cute #golden #petsofinstagram #petsagram #birds #wildlife #conservation #wildliferescue by @turfiegoldie
Today was my first time to join a tree-planting activity. I think I should join more often. I loved spreading smiles for the tired hoomans - but most of all, I loved how muddy my paws were! 🐾 #goldenretrievers #goldenretrieversofinstagram #dogs #nature #conservation #environment #philippines by @turfiegoldie
