To those reaching out regarding donated décor: Although Turk’s has closed its doors, we are carefully preserving and safely storing many of the restaurant’s décor items and furnishings as we look ahead to our next adventure. These items represent so much of Turk’s history and character, and we hope to incorporate many of them into whatever the future holds. Regarding your request for the return of a décor item that was originally gifted to the restaurant, we hope you can understand that this is a somewhat difficult and unexpected request for us to receive, particularly at such a sensitive time. We have always appreciated the generosity behind gifts given to Turk’s, and naturally understood them to be contributions made with the intention of becoming part of the restaurant. As we navigate this transition and make arrangements for the future, our focus is on preserving the memories, furnishings, and pieces that have made Turk’s what it is. We hope you can appreciate our perspective and understand that revisiting previously gifted items during this time puts us in an uncomfortable position. Thank you for your consideration and for understanding where we are coming from. by @turksdanapoint
⚓️ To Our Beloved Turk’s Family and Community, Now that the lights have dimmed and our doors have officially closed for the final time at Dana Point Harbor, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude. For decades, Turk’s was far more than just a restaurant and bar—it was a true home away from home, a sanctuary of stories, and a gathering spot for generations of friends, old and new. Words cannot fully capture what your support, laughter, and loyalty have meant to all of us over the years. You built this community, and you made Turk’s the legend it became. While our doors may be closed, the memories will live on forever—and we would love to keep gathering them. If you have a favorite memory, a story, a photograph, or a goodbye note you’d like to share, please send it our way. Reading your memories means the world to us as we reflect on this incredible journey. • Leave a comment below sharing your favorite Turk's memory or photos. • Email us your notes and stories at turksdanapoint@gmail.com so we can read and treasure them. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for every cheer, every smile, and every moment shared across the bar. With love, gratitude, and respect, Turk’s Family by @turksdanapoint
We are so deeply saddened to officially close our doors today to make way for the harbor construction. We are closing earlier than expected to ensure the safety of our staff and customers. Turk created this waterfront saloon back in 1984 as a place for all people to come together, share stories and make friends while enjoying delicious food & drinks. Thank you so much to our customers for supporting us for the past 42 years. Thank you for maneuvering through the construction and parking delays to join us. Thank you for waiting for us during the pandemic. We are honored and so very grateful you made Turk’s a destination. Thank you to our dedicated and amazing staff who have stuck with us. We could not have done it without your hard work. We will miss your delicious cooking, tasty drinks & hospitality. We are hoping to return again to the harbor. However, the specifics are uncertain at this time. Please continue to stay connected through our social media and website for our future adventure and offerings.
