To say doing this painting was hard would be an understatement, mixing new ideas, time available and the light that’s been available over winter. However it’s one of the most proud and inspiring paintings I’ve ever done. Absolutely amazing to paint someone whose qualities show strength, resilience and leadership. Trev is an amazing defender, person and he bleeds blue, what more could you want?

PROPER BEAUTIFUL MOMENT. 💙

@turner_artm reached out by email and asked to produce a painting for the walls of the bridge flat. Of course the answer was YES. Moments like this mean the world to us.

Words from Joe:
‘My work aims to capture emotion through moments and movement in sports. If I could say there was one thing that encapsulates my style, it would be my use of shapes and building detail through paint.

My main influences were the players I grew up watching; Drogba, Lampard and Čech. With this in mind, plus the communities of the club, I wanted to include past and present Chelsea players to show a full circle timeline and the cultures we want to see more of in the future.’

From all of us at BRIDGED, thank you Joe. 💙

Had a great time creating this work, feels great to put some key ideas down and get a result I am happy with at the end.
