Early autumn is harvest season for the fruit growing here at Cuiltybar House. We haven’t planted anything ourselves yet, wanting to spend a year getting to know the property and see what was already here first. Blackberries, raspberries, mulberries, plums, apples, and chestnuts abound, though the apples are the only thing really delivering so far. I used the blackberries to make blackberry vinegar which makes a fantastic salad dressing, or tangy shrub. To make a shrub, just mix a bit of the vinegar with some sparkling water for a refreshing beverage. This is our favorite time of year, and were so grateful to be discovering it here at Cuiltybar House. #fall #homestead #georgian #Irishcountryhome #manorhouse taken in County Sligo by @turnip82

Wrong tile on the wall?! No, just a trick of the light waking me up faster than a pot of coffee poured down my throat. The way light bounces around the room can fully make things appear to be a completely different colour. It’s an amazing watching the tile change colour when I move it from one wall to the next. Everything will even out when we have the new paint and lighting in the bathroom. Trust the process, stay the course. Check out our YouTube channel to watch us fix up our 300 year old Georgian home in the west of Ireland. We have so much to do. There’ll be plenty to see. Absolute chaos over here at Cuiltybar House. We have a mad push for the next few weeks to prepare for our next round of house guests! I explained in our last YouTube video why I’m doing things out of order, if you’re curious, head on over and have a watch of that one, also, New video out this Sunday over there! #sligowhoknew #sligo #ireland #georgianhouse #homerenovation by @turnip82

We know it’s going to be a long process to restore this Georgian home, I wish we could do some of the work this fast! We’ll keep plugging away though. taken in County Sligo by @turnip82

I make no apologies for my very basic autumnal affinities.
What is the scariest part of this for you? taken in County Sligo by @turnip82

Feels good to be past the messy grout stage , especially this inky black stuff that gets EVERYWHERE. We now have a fully functional shower. It’s been a longer road than expected to get here, but, here we are. What a beautiful place to wash off all the grime from the never ending diy projects here at Cuiltybar house. #georgianarchitecture #sligowhoknew #ireland #dıy #showertile by @turnip82

Been lucky to have dad here helping out with the shower, love, love, love, how it’s turning out! The view from inside 😍. This is just a sneaky peak, well, it’s not actually done so I can’t show you the finished product just yet. Follow along to see what we’re up to over here at Cuiltybar house. Plenty more projects to keep us busy for another few thousand years or so. #sligo #homediy #houserenovation #sligowhoknew #irishcountryhouse by @turnip82

Really putting in the work over here at Cuiltybar house to get some bathroom remodels done. Ooooooooo it’s going to be great to have a new, fresh shower to use, especially since it has a beautiful view of the ox mountains from it. #sligowhoknew #georgianarchitecture #diy #diyhomeprojects #homerenovation by @turnip82

Grateful for the expertise these two bring to home renovation and landscaping maintenance. Well, maybe not expertise so much as creative problem solving and a can do attitude? As the man says, everything’s under control. (Please don’t try this at home; individual results may vary, etc. etc.) by @turnip82

What are your thoughts? White on white? Or pink on pink? Feels good to have a room out of the project stage either way! #sligowhoknew #sligo #diy #georgianhome #homerenovation by @turnip82
