The pandemic changed life for everyone. The world stopped and we lost time. However, I gained having my sister live with us, move with us, and watch her revive her life with a new job, new car, and be excited about new possibilities! I was not ready...I’m still not ready! Is it even possible to be ready to let go? Everyday I see you in my kids, I hear you in my own voice. The things we say that sound like something you would say... I’m full of sorrow and grief. My heart aches and the tears flow when I see and hear these simple yet beautiful things. Still numb from the loss of my father. How can this be...it’s so painful to be in his house and not hear his laugh or hear him joking around about something. Not hearing his prayer before supper every evening. Not hearing for the millionth time how I should move home because the sun is always shining and it’s gorgeous outside and all I have at home is snow 😆 not seeing him teach my kids to fish with a stick with line that’s too heavy and a huge hook at the end of the line. Well dad they’re catching plenty of fish with that caveman fishing pole and loving it. 🥰 I saw this flag the other day while we were out and it meant so much to me as I remembered my dad always telling me that there is opportunity all over in this country we just have to be brave enough to grab it! I miss you with every fiber of my being dad. I love you as deep as the oceans. by @turtlebugs8911
