A 7.4 magnitude earthquake stroke #colombia with its epicenter in Chocó (majority Black and indigenous people).

Inequality is real in Colombia and this earthquake is only accentuating it. You might have not even heard about Chocó(the epicenter). That's how the media works...it gives voice to those they choose and perceive as important.

It's been beautiful to see people come together to support Colombians in Chocó ✊🏾

Still, a good number of things are needed🙏🏾

Meet Carolina Borja-Marroquin (@tutti.music.program), one of the incredible artists performing at M³ Festival 2026 on November 7!

An Afro-Colombian musician, composer, educator, and storyteller, Carolina Borja brings a rich, interdisciplinary approach to her work, drawing from folk traditions, world music, and collaborative performance.
Her musical journey spans collaborations with folk fusion ensembles, dance companies, interdisciplinary artists, chamber groups, and symphony orchestras. She is also a member and co-leader of the Cleveland-based duos Sororii and Amani Strings, continuing to explore the connections between music, culture, and storytelling.

As we count down to M³ Festival Weekend, we’re working toward our $35,000 fundraising goal to continue supporting women and gender-expansive musicians through collaboration, mentorship, and creative opportunity.

Every donation, ticket purchase, and share makes a difference. Help us build momentum toward our goal and celebrate the incredible artists bringing this year’s festival to life!

So excited to perform with the amazing Paige Brown @tpaige22u at the M3 Festival in NYC as La Arenera ✨

Listen to us and buy tickets #linkinbio 🎟️

La Arenera is the partnership and sonic playspace of Paige Brown🧑🏾‍🩰🎶and Carolina Borja-Marroquin 🧑🏾‍🩰🎶

La Arenera sounds like freedom, exploration and thrill, tastes like a delicious meal combining spices and flavors from the African diaspora and the Indigenous people in the Americas. It is a place of joy, of liberation–a liminal plane (that stretches from Bogotá to Arkansas), where no boundaries exist.

Mutual Mentorship for Musicians (M³) is an initiative dedicated to advancing the professional and artistic growth of women and gender-expansive musicians across genres, generations, and cultural backgrounds. Founded in 2020 and based in NYC, M³ invests in the development of underrepresented musicians whose work is rarely centered in mainstream music spaces and who have historically lacked access to mentorship and resources. M³ provides financial support, mutual mentorship, and opportunities for performance and exchange to build a music ecosystem where musicians of all identities can thrive. By advocating for fair distribution of compensation, visibility, and opportunity, M³ strives to create a more vibrant and equitable cultural landscape for all.

The one-day, marathon-style festival will feature: • 11 sets & 33 musicians plus food, drink • M³ Magazine Vol. 2 launch • M³ Cohort 9 Announcement • A chance to join the 6pm VIP Cocktail Reception with the artists

We had a great show at Walnut Wednesday at downtown Cleveland😄

At first, it looked like it was going to rain but shortly after it warmed up and the sun came out 🌞

An audience member shared their experience with us 🤩

"Amani Strings is amazing! I've been coming to Walnut Wednesday during the summer and they are the most amazing musical performance I've seen"

Thank you so much for the warmth and feedback we received today. It feeds our souls and confirms the power of our commitment🎶

Join me tomorrow, Monday September 21th! I'll be performing at Huntington Park, Cleveland, Ohio, and selling merch🎶 11:30am-1:30pm

In August 10th, 2026 Colombia suffered a devastating earthquake 🛘...many lost everything and are still struggling physically, mentally and spiritually 🤕

100% sales and tips I collect will go to organizations attending some of the most affected areas - Chocó and Buenaventura- in Colombia, South America.

There's much more nuance to what's happening in Colombia, but for now I hope to the needle another bit through music🎶

I'll continue selling merch even after the show and until everything is gone. If you can't attend, please let me know if you'd like to be part of this cause.

Muchas gracias 🙏🏾 🤎
