The world is soaked in love.
All its creation brimming with it.
Everything is love, everything has been,
though only men learn how to divide it.

In life, we bargain.
We possess.
We wound in the name of love.

We ration it to our own and name it virtue.
We bless the familiar
and harden our hearts against the rest.

Only in death does love become pure.

His flesh feeds the insects.
Rain bruises him. Wind scatters him.
The sun dries him. The dark takes him back.
He does not protest.
He does not withdraw his gift.
He does not choose favourites.
And for the very first time,
he does not hate, kill or steal.

A body that feeds the earth,
a will that harms nothing,
a silence that refuses cruelty.

It is death that completes him,
