New in the Tweedful Things shop! 🍂

I’ve added a little bit of everything today — new original hooked pieces, Hallowe’en art cards, and a new rug hooking pattern.

The originals include my primitive tulip mounted on an antique slaw cutter and a wonderfully wicked witch tucked into an old frame. The cards bring a few of my favorite Tweedful Things characters to paper, and for those who’d rather make something themselves, there’s a new pattern ready for your own hook and wool.

Five friends have gathered on Hallowe’en,
as they have many times before,
each with their own peculiar nature,
and well known by the other four.

They gather when the air turns crisp,
and October nights grow cold,
to share their tricks and merriment
and tales they’ve often told.

So here’s to friends both strange and true,
and a Merry Hallowe’en to you.

Brandywine, here I come!

I’m so excited to be part of the 65th Anniversary Brandywine Festival of the Arts in Wilmington, Delaware!

I’ll be bringing Washboard Fraktur, one of my newest pieces, along with a whole collection of hand-hooked folk art from Tweedful Things. This one combines my love of old, timeworn objects with Pennsylvania German fraktur-inspired imagery—hooked especially for an antique wooden washboard believed to date to circa 1880–1920.
