Sri Bande Mahakali Temple

The Bande Mahakali Temple in Bengaluru is an ancient shrine dedicated to Goddess Mahakali, believed by devotees and local traditions to be between 800 and 1,200 years old.

the word “Bande” means rock. The temple gets its name because the deity is Moola Udbhava—meaning she is self-manifested (not sculpted by human hands)
