POSTS STORIES REELS

This isn’t a sad goodbye. It’s a celebration. 🤍

Twelve has been one of the greatest teachers of my life.

For almost eight years, it gave me a space to create, to serve, to connect, to make mistakes, to grow, to love and, above all, to understand more deeply the kind of spaces I want to create in this world.

I gave so much of myself to this beautiful concept 💖✨💫 but Twelve gave me even more in return. 🙏🏼

It taught me that hospitality is not simply about what we serve. It is about how we make people feel. The energy we create. The connections we nurture. The moments that somehow become memories.

So today, I don’t feel like I’m walking away from something.

I feel like I’m carrying it forward. 🌱

Everything I learned, every person I met, every challenge, every beautiful service and every moment within those walls has prepared me for what comes next.

And I can feel that something very beautiful is beginning. ✨

I won’t say too much just yet… but if you loved what we created at Twelve, I have a feeling you’re going to love what is coming next.

So stay close. This journey is only evolving. 💫

And before we turn the page, I would love to hear from you:

What is your favourite memory of Twelve? Or what will you remember most about it? 🤍

Let’s fill this space with the stories of everything we created together.

With so much love and gratitude,

Dalton 🙏🏼🌱 by @twelveeatery

After almost eight extraordinary years, last night we closed the doors of Twelve for the final time. 🤍

It was a beautiful evening 🙏🏼 a moment to look around, feel everything this place has been, and connect one last time with the people and the space that shaped such an important chapter of our lives.

We know this news may come as a surprise to many of you.

Over the past month, we chose to share our closing quietly and personally with guests coming through our doors rather than make a big announcement. Those who heard came back for one last meal, one last drink, one last hug 💝 and those moments meant more than we can say.

We know some of you will wish you had known too. After giving so much of ourselves to Twelve for so many years, we wanted to experience its ending quietly and with presence 🙏🏼 to honour the journey, the space, and ourselves.

But Twelve was never defined by one final night.

It lives in almost eight years of memories: the food, drinks, music, celebrations, friendships, laughter, love and thousands of connections made within these walls.

To every guest, every member of our beautiful team, past and present, and everyone who believed in what we created ✨ thank you.

And to every member of our beautiful team, past and present 🫶 thank you for your energy, care, passion and for bringing Twelve to life every single day. You will always be part of its story. 🤍

As Dalton and Greg now follow different paths, we leave this chapter with enormous gratitude and pride.

And perhaps the story of this beautiful space isn’t over. We remain open to conversations with anyone inspired to carry Twelve forward or create something new here.

So this isn’t simply a goodbye.

It is the closing of one beautiful chapter and the planting of a seed for everything that is still to come. 💖

Sometimes we have to create space for something new to grow.

And something tells us this is only the beginning. 🌱🤍

Thank you for being part of Twelve. 🙏🏼

When I look through these photos, I don’t just see a team. I see almost eight years of friendships, lessons, challenges, laughter, growth and countless shared moments. ✨

One of the greatest privileges of building Twelve was learning that leadership is never just about asking people to believe in your vision. It’s about taking the time to understand theirs too. 🌱

Everyone who worked alongside us had their own dreams, ambitions, good days and difficult ones. Sometimes my role was to encourage someone to push further. Sometimes it was to recognise they needed to rest or meditate. And sometimes it was to encourage them to take an opportunity elsewhere, even when I would have loved them to stay.

Because people were never ours to keep. 🕊️

I wanted Twelve to be somewhere people could grow 🙏🏼 and somewhere they could always feel welcome to return.

And many did. Some left and came back. Some moved into beautiful new chapters. Some people I met through Twelve years ago are now walking alongside me again in completely different projects. ♾️

We worked incredibly hard, but we also ate together, celebrated together and looked after one another. There were homemade meals and cakes, countless cups of cacao, hugs, tears, retreats, yoga, breathwork… and a lot of laughter. 🤎

I always believed people deserved more than a salary from their workplace. They deserved to feel valued, nourished, respected and seen.

Together, you created the feeling people experienced when they walked through the doors of Twelve.

To everyone pictured here, and the many who aren’t: thank you for trusting me, challenging me, growing with me and teaching me. 🙏🏼

Twelve may have closed its doors, but what we created was never contained by four walls.

You were Twelve. And I’ll carry a little piece of each of you wherever I go next. 🤍✨ by @twelveeatery
