"Hold on Til May"

that's something i've been telling myself for years. "only a couple more months, it'll finally be over." as i look back on all these years, i wish it hadn't gone so fast. the future is uncertain and scary, and comes faster than you think. but it is also so exciting. my path is uncertain, but i'm one step closer to achieving my dreams.

dreams can change. when i came into college, i wasn't entirely sure i wanted to become a therapist, but its the only option i knew about. until i took Experimental Design/Analysis with Dr. Sandra Schneider. that course changed my life for the better. i fell in love with analyzing data and the aspects of research. i looked forward to doing the homework for that class and learning more about experimental methods, excel, and SPSS. who knew someone could do research in psychology, the one topic in school i took seriously?

i want to thank my support system. i wouldn't be here without my professors, my family, and my friends. everyone has been such a tremendous help throughout my college career. i especially would be lost if i didn't have my sister. thank you for helping me register for classes, creating my schedules for me, and giving me advice for essays (definitely needed cause we all know i HATE writing😭). i am proud to be the second USF graduate from our family, with my sister being the first.💚💛

and what kind of reflection post would this be if i didnt mention pierce the veil? this band has been with me throughout my middle school, high school, and college years. their music has helped me so much, with countless nights of studying with their music blasting in my ears or just playing their music in the car for road trips or even just a 5 minute drive. i am eternally grateful for the positive influence and everlasting impact that Pierce the Veil has left me with. i cannot wait to see you guys this thursday🖤

my journey is not yet over. i am ecstatic to receive my doctorate in the future and help the psychology field, and even the world, with future research.
